Chuck Schumer vows to continue his government shutdown forever rather than fund a wall:
President Trump, if you want to open the government, you must abandon the wall, plain and simple.
Schumer claims the Democrats are “open to discussing any proposal as long as they do not include anything for the wall.” Sure they are.
This is all theater, of course. Hugh Hewitt says the shutdown is Schumer’s fault

I can’t write what I am saying and thinking about this POS.
Schumer: declaring illegal alieans (ie. future ‘rat votes) mean far more to him than US citizens. FY Shumer, FY. I wouldn’t spit on the sidewalk to save your life.
Remember, it isn’t about the money or the Wall itself.
It’s about turning Trump’s base against him by denying him his centerpiece campaign promise.
Who says Trump wants the government re-opened?
Schumer might discover that it’s difficult to negotiate when you have nothing of value to offer.
By Trump standing up to Schumer, it is doing the opposite.
They can permanently layoff all these government slackers as far as I’m concerned. Then, we can start with some other useless departments.
Anyone have photos of the 40 foot high wall that surrounds his $50 million estate in Westchester County? How about the wall surrounding his multi million dollar estate in Farifax County,VA?
This could all be solved with a 51-vote reconciliation. But they will never, ever do it. There are far too many Chamnber of Commerce checks already cashed.
Schumer digs in....just like an effin tick, living off the host, the taxpayer.
He does not want Trump to declare victory. He would rather not have security for the country, than give Trump a win.
That is as stupid a statement as has ever been made about politics (of any country) during the last three years.
In fact, it is a statement that only someone fully committed to the abolition of national borders would even consider making.
Good - let this all come to a head. Should have been years ago, but here it is so let’s get on with it.
Let’s see who prevails - Don’s Destroyers or Chucks Crumb cakes.

You’d think that at least one of the Senate dims would contradict slimy schumer. But you’d be wrong. I believe the dims could have taught the krauts a thing or two about marching in lockstep.

Let’s not just have a squeaker of a win of 51 votes, let’s make sure we have 60.
It’s a winning issue.
Let McConnell make Democrats vote for this too.
