This is how it looks to me: Trump’s done playing footsie with these RINO covert #NeverTrumpers in Congress and throughout his Administration.

Go back two years on FR and read how he was the greatest thing since chipped beef.

That was before he became beef chips. Good riddance... he fought against the POTUS agenda at every turn.

Mattis also protected the Tranny’s disobeying a direct edict from his CIC

Unfortunately Mattis doesn't have time to defend Navy Seals. being railroaded by deep state Obama holdovers in the U.S. government.

“he fought against the POTUS agenda at every turn”

He would have made a great Secdef for Obama or Clinton. He was at least competent.

But he was not politically aligned with our current, America First POTUS.

I hope you are right. Yesterday the Senate passed a CR with a voice vote that did not include one penny for border Security. I bet that shocked him. If he had any doubt that it’s just Him and us that should tell him.

I’ve always have tremendous respect for General Mattis, but it seemed to me early on that they disagree on certain issues. Mattis would have been perfect in a Jeb! or Rubio Administration. I agree with you, though, that many were big supporters of him. I liked him but had those caveats.

I hope Trump picks Tony Schaeffer (sp) or someone who truly aligns with him.

McCabe and others are on that list too, along with Sally Yates.

And that is what a good CEO/President does....fires, replaces, and accepts resignations of those who don’t conform!!

The Mattis-is-chipped-beef crowd failed to learn from his confirmation hearings were he rolled over like a trained pooch foretelling things to come like doing nothing about women in combat, lowered training standards, 32 yo mother of 2 becoming a Ranger, transgenders, gays and sex change operations - the list goes on for pages.

The man stood on his ‘reputation’ and it was bought wholesale

You put a nice spin on that. Yes you did.

Someone else might argue that a good CEO/President doesn’t hire incompetents in the first place.

What happened to the Trump promise to hire only the best in his administration?

We’ve been there forever, and for no good reason.

I suppose that only reason is that, once we leave, they will come here again with another group of jihadis ...

I think it’s a number of things

Punishing our warriors
Two years later no progress in Afghanistan
I’ll bet ge was being pressured about cutting funds to Pakistan
Being left on his own with Saudie
Transgenders in the military

I think he did hire good people. Don’t you think Mattis was a good choice when he was hired? I think everybody commented positively on his choice.

But Trump is Old School, you either do it his way or its the highway. Politics is different than business.

Thank you and have a good night.

You won’t have any good nights if ISIS sets up shop in a sovereign Afghanistan and installs long range missles with nuclear warheads.
