People who oppose immigration often argue that migrants bring disease with them, and that they then become a burden to health systems in their new countries because they’re so sick.
But that's not true, a team of experts argued in a new report released Wednesday.
In fact, they point out that immigrants make up a significant portion of the healthcare work forces in their new homelands.
"There is no evidence to show that migrants are spreading disease," said Dr. Paul Spiegel, who directs the Center for Humanitarian Health at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. "That is a false argument that is used to keep migrants out," Spiegel told NBC News.
"Contrary to the current political narrative portraying migrants as disease carriers who are a blight on society, migrants are an essential part of economic stability in the U.S.," added Terry McGovern, who heads Columbia University’s Department of Population and Family Health.

Then CNN or others will carry the story, saying “it is being reported....” as if it is also factual.
This is how they get the fake news snowballs rolling.
I didn’t notice if the article shows a distinction between illegal/legal immigrants.
But there is no way for anyone to document that illegals have been vaccinated - considering they get in and lie about who they are, using an American’s ID, etc.
The Fake News Media will stop at nothing to push the agenda.
Approximately 300 million legal crossings take place from Mexico into the United States annually along the 1,969-mile border, and about 15 million Americans visit Mexico each year, according to CDC.
There is so much viral mixing that most diseases are shared by all.
The risk is mainly to the immigrants who are not conditioned to our background pathogens such as our many noroviruses.

So why do I still need immunization shots when going to those countries for diseases that aren’t here?
Again, they lump legal and illegal immigrants together to set up their strawman that the right is opposed to immigration in general rather than illegal immigration. There are a lot of immigrant doctors and nurses, but I am pretty sure they are overwhelmingly legal immigrants.
We need and want professionals and entrepreneurs who bring skills and investment. We don’t need or want hordes of immigration scofflaws who are largely useless mouths to feed.
Calling the migrants tells you right there that they have an agenda and the rest isn’t worth reading. They are illegal immigrants - they are immigrating illegally. They left hated that accurate term and went to undocumented immigrants, then undocumented workers, now just migrants. Like a flock of birds, they migrate around. Until they get to the land of freebies, the USA. Then they stop migrating and grow anchors.
‘Immigrants’ use emergency rooms like a doctor’s office - - the difference is treating the ‘sniffles’ costs taxpayers over a thousand dollars a visit.

What passes for screening. I’m underwhelmed.
Many Americans lost their closest emergency rooms because of this phenomenon; my town here in NJ did. So many illegals showing up for “doctor visits” in the ER that the hospital shut down. It still functions as some kind of medical facility, but not a hospital - and certainly no ER. Now Americans have to travel further to an ER, and only arrive to find it packed with even more illegals using it for “doctor visits”. The state requires treatment for them, continually reduces the reimbursement to the facilities, and the facilities close; these illegals don’t intend to pay for ANYTHING.
A few months ago we were treated to the spectacle of hordes of foreign children receiving “free” school supplies (actually bought by the paying customers); now we’ll see the same children lining up for “free” toys and meals - again, courtesy of US.
It is no accident they are trafficked to dying, high-cost areas; 150 years ago these places would have reverted to ghost towns, but our entrenched public worker caste wants to gravy train to roll on - so we pretend there is still reason for people to live in these sh!tholes. The government is artificially preventing the Detroitification of many urban areas and the closest suburbs by transferring wealth from American taxpayers to a foreign permanent underclass.
