Ocasio-Cortez Sees Global Warming As A Way To Push ‘Social And Racial Justice’ Policies

Democratic Congresswoman-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York said the “Green New Deal” plan she supports would be used to achieve liberal “economic, social and racial justice” goals along with fighting global warming.

“[W]e can use the transition to 100 percent energy as the vehicle to truly deliver and establish economic, social and racial justice in the United States of America,” Ocasio-Cortez said at a Tuesday panel discussion alongside Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and environmental activist Bill McKibben.

The soon-to-be New York representative has spent her time in Washington, D.C. promoting a “Green New Deal” to transition the U.S. to 100 percent green energy. Ocasio-Cortez even joined protesters occupying House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s office in support of the plan.

All Gore-Bull Warming has ever been about was redistribution.

Tax everything.

Spend it all on social engineering.

Control the populace.

Sounds like she is starting to catch on somewhat like Mad Max. They don’t care as long as they are in power and the money keeps rolling in just like Pelosi.

(The Climate Crisis? It’s Capitalism, Stupid)

(We Cannot Fight Climate Change With Capitalism, Says Report)

(U.N. Official Reveals Real Reason Behind Warming Scare)............2/10/2015.......Economic Systems: The alarmists keep telling us their concern about global warming is all about man's stewardship of the environment. But we know that's not true. A United Nations official has now confirmed this.

At a news conference last week in Brussels, Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of U.N.'s Framework Convention on Climate Change, admitted that the goal of environmental activists is not to save the world from ecological calamity but to destroy capitalism.

"This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution," she said.

Referring to a new international treaty environmentalists hope will be adopted at the Paris climate change conference later this year, she added: "This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model for the first time in human history."

This country has shifted so far to the left that they don’t even have to hide it anymore. They could print what she said on the side of a bus and people will just nod and say “makes sense.”

After failing repeatedly to produce economic prosperity in the past century, socialism has decided to also solve the climate change crisis, as it continues to fail in producing economic prosperity. Welcome to Lake Woe-be-here.

This is “intersectionalism” at work: conflate two unrelated topics to leverage success.

Looks stupid to us whip understand talent stacks.

Works for the Left: now they’ve tied the two together - if you’re against gov’t-mandated/funded solar power, you’re a Nazi who hates women. While you reel from the absurdity of the accusation, they ram thru green energy mandates, tax money disappears into Solyndra 2, and you get fined for not putting $60,000 solar panels on your roof.

Ms. Cortez,
We have listened to your inspiring comments about the benevolence of socialism and would like to ask a question. In just a few weeks you will be making more money per month than most of the families you represent make in a year. Can you tell us how much you plan on giving back to your community by sharing with others?

NOT TO stop pollution, but to advance big government. What WE’VE been saying all along.

We're not the only ones who have been saying it. The UN has been saying it:

"This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model, for the first time in human history.

"This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the industrial revolution. That will not happen overnight and it will not happen at a single conference on climate change, be it COP 15, 21, 40 - you choose the number. It just does not occur like that. It is a process, because of the depth of the transformation."
