Its not every day that I hear an actor playing a journalist recite a line that compares covering presidential rallies to covering Libya but this is 2018 and its Trumps America. In the November 29 episode of CBSs Murphy Brown, reporter Frank Fontana is attacked at a Trump rally and the blame falls on President Trump saying the press delivers fake news and is the enemy of the people.
In Beat the Press, Murphy (Candice Bergen) closes her morning show with a shot at President Trump, which is nothing new. She promotes a piece shell be doing on the next days show and describes it as a look at the troubled relationship between President Trump, Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau and French President Macron. She says it would be a great screwball comedy and could be called Two Men and a Baby. When her producer Miles calls her on her snark, she says its like she had Tourettes Syndrome. Ugh.
That evening Frank (Joe Regalbuto) does some in the field reporting at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania. Murphy and her son Avery (Jake McDorman) watch the rally on television together. During the rally, President Trump mentions Murphys show and that he heard that Frank was in the press pool. He nicknames him Fibbin Frank Fontana. Trump even asks if maybe Frank needs a body slam.

NON print version with the NO BIAS present shitcom. Uh, sitcom. Yeah, that’s it.:
They make up a horrible world in their imaginations, and then complain about this imaginary world as if it’s real.
This article didn’t deserve the ink. or online print :)
You say yawn but it must have pissed you off.
And that should be the normal response from the likes of us. Conservatives, that is.
It pissed me off!
Thought I just read this miserable excuse for a TV program was cancelled?
Assuming so, who woulda thunk it? I mean..they didn’t realize people want to watch TV to be entertained, not to have leftist politics or ideology constantly heaped on the viewer?
Just heaed the show’s been cancelled. Great news!
So, will the fact that there are so few people who still give a damn about network TeeVee make a revival easier for them or more difficult?
Will 'Murphy Brown' be called to testify before a democrat run House committee investigating the horrors of red hats? Will Algore revive his Clipper Chip plan to save us all from horrible people on the Internet instead of on TeeVee?
Murphy Brown joins the growing list of network TV productions that should be listed as ‘in kind contributions’ to the DNC.

If it weren’t for straw men they would have nothing to rage against. But who watches this show, anyway - only just such self-deluded echo chamber dwellers.
I can’t believe it’s even still on, I bhinjk it’s ratings are as bad as the the Roseanne-less Roseanne show.
They’re a credulous bunch and believe what they want to believe. The fake Tina Fey “I can see Russia from my house” that still gets pinned on Sarah Palin as factual is a cautionary tale. So, don’t be surprised when that happens here.
If that guy came to Pennsylvania we probably would kick his ass.
The Leftists have bared their brains.
This is only some of what poured out.
The alphabet media are statist-leftist, propaganda organizations.
Trump and his Presidency have made it obvious, and we should be grateful for that.
Treat America’s alphabet mainstream media no different than you would Russia’s RT, China Central TV, UK’s BBC, Iran Islamic TV network, etc.... Yes, there’s truth, but its selective and presented very much with a purpose.
Another Hollywood re-make that flops miserably.
Yes, theres truth, but its selective and presented very much with a purpose.
To get a rough idea of how much you’re being manipulated by either friend or foe, read a block of material from a commentary, then read it again without the adjectives. The difference in your perception of the subject between the two readings is the amount you are being manipulated.
CBS has chosen to not extend MB beyond the current 13 episodes.
Maybe CNN will pick it up next year. If it retained its current audience, it would be the most watched program on CNN.
A tadly bit. Mostly because there are plenty of assclowns that see this crap as reality. Of course there’s no bias involved. Sure glad we cut the cable.
Did the episode include a scene where Hillary Clinton pays these fake Trump supporters to incite the violence? I guess it wouldn’t be a fictional story if they did that!
I hope these pompous liberal a-holes enjoy being unemployed. One thing about Leftist political rhetoric is that it’s just not entertaining. No one wants to watch it, not even other liberals. Leftists have ruined the entertainment business almost as much as they’ve ruined most of America’s large cities.
Brains? Surely you jest.
