There are American women in my Twitter feed who think they are more oppressed than women in Saudi Arabia. I. Can't. Even." -- John Podhoretz
Never before have so many claimed to be so oppressed and mistreated over so little as Americans in 2017.
Like ‘racism’. What does it even mean?
Reminds me of a victim impact statement I had to do once after I got involved in stopping an assault.
The question asked if I felt any psychological or emotional harm.
I replied that I never have psychological harm for doing the right thing.
No oppression here.
Identifying as “oppressed” is very tempting in that it gives a person an excuse for his laziness and failure. The unfortunate thing is that this “identification” eats one’s soul and assures failure in every category of life.
The only REAL oppression in America is that spawned by the ever-grasping tentacles of the .gov Leviathan at all levels.
The people in this country do not know what racism, being oppressed, etc is. They have been indoctrinated. It is really a sad state of affairs. If these young adults had to live through the depression like my parents did, I wonder if they could survive.
in order for libloon parasites to gain the unearned, undeserved, and something for nothing
I think most people, at some point in their lives, comes to the realization that life, or at least some aspects of it, is not turning out “as planned.” (It possibly, probably, happens multiple times over one’s life).
When this happens, there are choices. One is blaming other people, institutions, etc. The other is to adjust one’s ideas and expectations.
I can acknowledge that I didn’t achieve a certain goal because I didn’t put in the effort needed to accomplish it, or I can blame someone else. I can come to the realization that the fantastic job I thought was just perfect for me wasn’t so perfect after all and that not getting the job was a blessing in disguise, or I can become angry and bitter because someone else was hired. I can realize that life is inherently “unfair” and that we are not all dealt the exact same cards at birth, or I can decide it’s someone else’s fault and that I am “oppressed” and mistreated.
It’s all in how I choose to look at things.
Good summation of what we already knew.
Fixed it for you.
Oppressed:
Being on State assistance, EBT/WIC
Being on unemployment insurance
Being in subsidized housing
Being on subsidized health insurance
Sounds like being oppressed means
Being on the Democrat Plantation
NFL, NBA and Hollywood stars are oppressed. They all said so.
When I was a kid in Wisconsin, in the Winter, we knew what a SNOWFLAKE was.
Now- there are 100 MILLION more of them-—and they last YEAR AROUND—despite the heat!!
Wrong— the oppressed class is straight white males — the only group against whom it is legal to discriminate. They may be able to get by if they are Trump haters working for an outfit like Google.
I catch you drift.
