Utah supports veterans. Semper Fi.
Add to that the property is valuable in many of those places. Just ask Nancy Pelosi’s husband.
Austin, TX? Why would a vet want to live amongst his/her enemies?
I dont agree with Baltimore being terrible. I was treated great at the va hospital. I agree Orlando where I go now is great but Baltimore was just as good.
Haley (Tampa) has improved their care significantly over the last two years.

Was going to say the same thing; it’d be great if you’re a liberal veteran - and there are some, but if you’re a logically thinking person who is based on facts, then probably not.
Texas is a good state for retirement, but Tucson AZ is very nice. There is a great VA Hospital and Tucson is a very good place for retired because of it’s low cost of living. Rents are way below the national average, our grocery bill are much lower than what we paid in our years in Minnesota, and the weather here in AZ is marvelous.
Now for the bad, liberal city but not the crazy liberals that goes out of their way to demonize anyone who doesn’t think like them.
The only thing we really need is for more Republican to retire here in Tucson.
OK, I’ll bite. Why?
The Tuscon area is a well known leftist stronghold with a very high Hispanic population which explains the leftist stronghold. Even the representative, Grihalva, is extremely far left.
If it wasn’t for that; I’d consider moving there.
That should be available to all as most VA Hospitals will kill you. I had an Alabama VA outpatient treatment card good at any MD’s, any hospital etc. from 76-on. I came to Nashville when the director here was like a CO. He inspected the grounds at 0630 hours and walked the halls all day. After he left the VAMC in Nashville went to hell. That was about 2002. Bush let all the damn cat 8’s, 7’s, plus anyone who ever served a damn day use the VA. I recall one had to be cat 1 here. I could see anyone I wanted here then. This fake PTSD for a mortar round flying over one’s head plus fear in a non combat zone is BS. No PH, No valor award, no combat action ribbon, no CIB or no CMB =’s fake PTSD.
I know it’s in Cal but San Diego county has tons of vets.
Plano? 28 miles by car to the VA hospital, a trip that will take about 45 minutes in non-rush hour traffic; well over that in rush hour. Or you can take the train; you ‘ll have to transfer to another line and then end up in a really bad part of town.
Two comments. First, Charleston, SC, with a very highly population of veterans, not even included on this list. Second, if you follow the link to the page where all cities are listed there is a photo of an old man wearing medals posing with two small boys, perhaps his grandsons. Medals do not look like US decorations, they look like Russian decorations.
