Twitter: Vox Editor Suggests Crisis if Dems Win “Popular Vote” But Lose House

I don't think people are ready for the crisis that will follow if Democrats win the House popular vote but not the majority.

After Kavanaugh, Trump, Garland, Citizens United, Bush v. Gore, etc, the party is on the edge of losing faith in the system (and reasonably so).

What the hell is the House popular vote? They’re elected directly by voters in their respective districts, state by state. That’s how it works. Is some phalanx of ninnies going to be counting up House votes for Democrats and Republicans nationwide, then run screaming into the streets with their hair on fire if there are more Democrats?

God, the stupid. It makes my brain hurt.

So the idiot thinks all the names of candidates for each party should simply go on a “party list”, and all people vote for is one of the parties, and then the portion a party gets in the “national” popular vote would get to put persons from their party list in a proportionate number of seats? In that scenario they even want to do away with primary elections. The party bosses would decide who was on their list and that would be it.

I know that kind of nonsense would satisfy the Marxist run fellow travelers still, in error, called “Liberals” because all anyone would be voting for is not any particular representative, just a party, and it would be the party bosses that picked their choices from the party list.

You just know some numbskull will tally all D votes and all R votes among all 435 congressional districts to see if they can make this claim (however meaningless).

I wondered why we were all of a sudden hearing about songs being banned from Trump’s rallies!

It means because they have big numbers in New York and California they should be able to control America.

Screw the dems and all their half-wit drones.

I HOPE they win the “popular” vote AND LOSE, it’ll make it that much BETTER.

How could they win the popular vote but lose the house?

Easy.

In Democrat districts, they win big. Think 90%.

In Republican Districts, they lose small. Think 48%.

if roughly the same number of districts, they could get overall a larger number of votes, but lose the majority of seats.

“WTF does that even mean?”

It means the dems are going to lose, and THEY KNOW IT.

Exactly.

They will get crazy big wins in the urban areas they dominate.

But lose the rest of the country as they did in 2016.

Good sign they know the “blue wave” is bs.

False narrative straw man.

Every congressional election is determined by popular vote.

Liberals are such tools.

How could they win the popular vote but lose the house?

Simple - they think their huge overvote in California and New York entitles them to make national policy regardless of how many districts they lose in Utah and Alabama.
