The polls are swinging wildly and voter enthusiasm seems higher than usual for midterms in recent memory or maybe ever.
Vice President Mike Pence predicts the Republicans will hold both houses and I tend to agree with him. In fact, I have a months-old dinner bet riding on his prediction coming to pass.
It’s not only that, freed of some of the more restrictive regulations and with tax cuts, the economy is booming and unemployment low, it’s a psychological thing. People are more optimistic and bullish than they were when Obama was president. I read this to mean they are willing to give the president’s party credit for their gains and want them to continue.
Rasmussen weighs in on the situation with a word of caution for those predicting a blue wave.

Just as in 2016, Democrats are more outspoken about how they’re going to vote in the upcoming elections than Republicans and unaffiliated voters are. Is it possible that another silent red wave is coming ?
It’s true that the major media is uniformly opposed to Trump and his party, but as Rasmussen also notes, they have less sway on voters than they would hope:

The water retreating characteristic is appropriate now. At this time Democrats are feeling pretty good. We're going to take the House! they say. At prediction markets, the value of Democrat wins is going up. They are about to be overtaken with a massive surprise.

Then notice that the Dems have neither a lousy economy (in fact, the economy is Trump's signature issue) nor an unpopular war to run against.
And Kavanaugh is against them: on another site, someone pointed out most adult women went to high school or college parties where things got a bit frisky with a guy (2nd base). And somehow *THEY* weren't scarred for life. Do they want their sons' careers ruined 30 years later for something that small?

We won’t even lose 20 Seats, no less 30! Where do you guys come up with this nonsense! There are 13 Democrat Seats that are tossups as well!
We are going to pick up Senate seats and hold the House.
It would take a Blue wave to gain 23 House seats AND not lose the 13 ones they have to defend as well.
Where do you guys come up with losing seats, when we have a great economy and the President is at 90% popular with his own Party. The Democrats have to defend a number of seats as well and the 7 seats in Cal. look strong. You don’t win Senate seats and lose the House!

I think the outcome will be so in the Republicans favor that there will be 30 GOP headquarters firebombed by Thursday morning!

Missourians are going to get the treat of a life time!
Not only will they have the man himself, President Trump, they will also receive two special guest appearances from Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.
Limbaugh was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
The rally in Missouri is set for Monday, 5th at 10pm est.
