Hillary Clinton remains the Democrats best chance to defeat Trump in 2020
Chicago Sun Times ^ | Nov. 3, 2018 | Laura Washington

She beat Donald J. Trump last time.

At least, by the popular vote.

Can she do it again this time, for real?

Hillary Clinton may be gearing up for a third run for president of the United States. Even as a two-time loser, she could be the Democratic Party’s best chance of ending the Trump presidency

Let me break some of this down:

Clinton remains the best-known and most accomplished potential Democratic candidate in the nation.

Actually, Joe Biden is the most accomplished. Stormy Daniels may be the best known.

She and her husband, former president Bill Clinton, bring immense star power.

...and in the very next sentence...

There is a greater determination than ever, across the nation, to elect the first women president, thanks to Donald Trump and the Me-Too movement.

They conveniently forget Mr. "Star Power" Bill had to confront his own #MeToo accusers thanks to Trump and Hillary's defense of him can't possibly satisfy most feminists if they are honest with themselves. Trump will have no problem bringing the accusers back for another debate.

And millions of voters — not just diehard Democrats — believe they were robbed in 2016. They crave payback.

Robbed by the Electoral College? Oh, yeah, a yet-unproven Russian conspiracy to throw the election that even Barack Obama claims didn't happen. I am forever grateful that Trump won beyond the electoral college difference of any one contested state or we might have seen 2000 all over again.

A Trump/Clinton rematch would be the riveting political story of the century.

As things stand now, it would be a bigger bloodbath because Trump has proven what he can do as President and consolidated many fence-sitting Republicans in Washington (several of whom he CAMPAIGNED for!) to not work against him.

So bring on the old hag. She will be easy pickings. There's nothing the media, the DNC and the Deep State can throw at Trump that they didn't already do in 2016.

Yeah... and Peewee Herman remains the best alternative to Tom Brady at quarterback.

“Hillary thinks that running is the only way to avoid prosecution. Repubs would not even think about indicting a dem candidate.”

Yep. And Eric Holder too.

Kankles is their best bet? Music to my ears, LMAO!!!

Besides being a totally unlikable and incompetent candidate, what’s she going to run on: raising taxes, open borders, undermining ICE and law enforcement in general, sanctuary cities, single payer health insurance, super rights for LGBTQ freaks? Oh, I forgot her strongest issue: protecting women from sexual harassment and assault.

LOLOLOL!

Hillary will be more shrill and more frail. President Trump will be a known quantity. This could be fun!

If Hillary is their best bet, then Donald will easily get a second term.

Spot on. I’m looking forward to reading her sequel,

Best laugh of the morning — so far.

Hillary would actually have to get out and campaign, if she ran again. And she ain’t up to that.

The upcoming Bill & Hillary tour will show that she still is unpopular, even with BJ alongside.

And there are now some 45 Dems who have expressed interest in running in 2020. I doubt many of them will be willing to step aside for Hillary to have another chance. I doubt Hillary would even make it to May 2012. She would not automatically have the superdelegates or the big-money donors.

It will be “I hate Trump more than you do”.

If she gets elected president, I won’t be watching much politics on TV, just sports (football, golf, skiing).

The Democrats haven't won with a white nominee since 1996. No white Democratic nominee has received 50% or more of the popular vote since 1976 (and Carter just barely did so). So obviously they need to nominate a black, Hispanic, American Indian or Asian candidate (or one who combines more than one of those categories).

That leaves Kamala Harris, Maxine Waters, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Cory Booker, Al Green, Tom Perez, Eric Holder, Valerie Jarrett, and many others. Maybe I should add Rachel Dolezal and Elizabeth Warren to the list.

“Hitlery can’t defeat a pair of stairs.”

It will be fun watching her getting on and off an airplane two or four times a day, the way every POTUS candidate has to while campaigning.

At least, by the popular vote.

It actually would be correct to say that she won the popular vote only in the states that she carried.
