Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton during an event over the weekend left the door open to a possible 2020 run, saying that even though she doesn't want to run, "I'd like to be president."
Clinton's comments come as speculation has increased over whether she will launch another bid after the midterm elections.
"Do you want to run again?" Recodes Kara Swisher asked during a Friday night Q&A with Clinton.
"No," Clinton replied quickly, sparking laughter from the audience. But when Swisher pressed her further, she added: "Id like to be president."
Clinton went on to say that "theres going to be so much work to be done" after a Democrat "hopefully" wins the next presidential election.
"The work would be work that I feel very well prepared for having been in the Senate for eight years, having been a diplomat in the State Department," she said, listing off the qualifications that she often touted during her previous run.
She added that she's not going to think about a possible run until after the upcoming midterm elections.

She probably smells like she LIVES in a coop!
We turned you away twice get the message! and I would like to be leader of the universe
Bill Clinton looks ‘close to death’ and would not be a surprise if he left the scene for a ‘sympathy ‘ vote. Imagine if Hillary became a tragic widow before 2020!!!!!!
If she physically survives until 2020 and remains coherent, such as it is, she probably will have the nomination if she wants it. A serious competitor may well not survive should she choose to run. Accidents do happen to people who obstruct Clintons.
So she doesn’t want to run, just win. Kinda like last time. She just wants to wake up with a hangover, get in front of a camera and say, “Why aren’t I 50 points ahead you might ask”
Another day with a hangover, get tossed into a van.
The Bar Crawl Campaign!
Why does she feel the need to tell everyone she wants to be President? I think everyone on this planet already knows this!!
And why is this a story??
The bratty girl from “Willy Wonka” grew up to be Hillary Clinton? Makes sense.
The relevant questions when it comes to Hillary are why the media feels obligated to keep her relevant? Where is the push coming from?
It’s not like she holds any great insight into how to run a government. It’s not like she has accomplished anything beyond not being prosecuted. She is a constant reminder of the duplicity, corruption and failure of the Obama administration. What’s up?
Or the 2nd Congressional District of Maine for that matter.
There's an important fact that ILLary must understand.Ohio has been carried by the winning candidate in every election since 1964.I guess that would qualify Ohio as the nation's bellwether. Obola carried Ohio twice...easily.Donald J Trump carried Ohio by about 10 points.Irrefutable proof that "Middle America" simply doesn't like The Former Twelfth Lady.
It’s implicit in her words. No more of this icky talking to the peasants. Just make me Presidente. Preferaby for life.
The most compelling out take from this video interview is that hillary has gone to fat. Her face is obese.
She also said she would not run.
Bar Crawl Campaign 2.0
Toss me in the van
Let’s go, let’s go
hand me those pills
Pass me that flask
Why aren’t I 50 points ahead
You ask, you ask
“Kankles/ Chewbacca in 2020!”
Vogue Magazine couldn’t publish a wide-enough front cover to squeeze these two fashion mavens in...
BUT, they’d be there front and center every friggin’ issue.
“hanging from a lamp post in the Village...”
I think you severely over-estimate the load bearing capacity of the average lamp post. I’m sure there is another method we could all agree on, instead of bending all the lamp posts down to ground level!
Best news I’ve heard in days.
Let her finish the job of shredding the Democrat Party.
Good one!
I was actually confident Trump would beat her in 2016.
Just imagine how confident I am about 2020!
