Democrat operatives claim they saw Brett Kavanaugh in Turkey recently holding a machete in one hand and a scimitar in the other, with a bone saw sticking out of his pocket. Call Feinstein and Schumer!

Like the Consulate the Consul General’s home is considered Saudi territory, so local prosecutors are out of luck.

Muslims have been butchering humans-and each other-for centuries. It’s a death cult, they love blood and death-and this was one of them. 911...how many? Heads roll and there are ‘honor’ killings daily-this is life as usual in Islam. I love it when they kill each other. Wish they’d finish the job.

I was just about to say the same. There are few news stories that I’ve ever cared LESS about than this one.

Why exactly should I be concerned with the death of a Saudi national at a Saudi embassy in Turkey?

1. I don’t much care what happened to some Moslem Brotherhood guy who comes from an arms-dealing family, and who is in opposition to the Saudi King and Crown Prince.

2. I do, however, care about the state of the alliance (I won’t say friendship, because on a cultural level we have precious little in common) between the US and S.A. It is VERY important for controlling/defeating the mullahs in Iran, for keeping the M.B. in check, and for limiting Soviet, err, RUSSIAN influence in the Mideast.

3. That all being said, I think that the best thing that the Saudi government can do is to say the following:

“Jamal Khashoggi was wanted for questioning for seditious activity against the Saudi Royal Family. We knew that he was coming to our consulate in Istanbul, so with the Crown Prince’s knowledge, the intelligence service sent men to capture him, question him and, if necessary, return him to S.A. for trial. During the attempt to capture and question him, some of the people involved got carried away - contrary to orders from the Crown Prince - and Jamal Khashoggi was killed. After that, the people involved decided to cover up the crime by chopping up his body and burying it.”

Though it was found that Jamal Khashoggi was engaged in seditious activities, the Saudi Royal Family apologizes to the Khashoggi family, and to our friends and allies around the world for what happened. A substantial payment has been made to the Khashoggi family as compensation for Jamal Khashoggi’s early demise and as a way of showing the genuineness of our contrition for what occurred. Those responsible for exceeding their authority and disobeying the orders of the Crown Prince will be put on trial and, if found guilty, will be punished according to their degree of complicity or guilt. Steps are also being taken to make certain that this type of incident never occurs again.”

Such a statement would put out the fire...and it won’t be more than a few days at most until some other news takes the heat off of S.A. for this. I am in no way a lover of the Saudi regime (I’m Jewish, and they haven’t exactly been kind to my people over the years, plus I’m sure that there was at least knowledge of what the 9/11 attackers were going to do without the attempt to warn us or stop them), but they are critical to maintaining stability in the Mideast and in helping to contain and, ultimately, defeat Iran. The $110 billion arms deal that we have with them is, IMHO, cream on the cake of that bigger goal.

All that said, I simply cannot believe how badly the Saudis have bungled the aftermath of this event. What they do to their own people, especially those actively opposed to their regime, is their business...but they were WAY stupid in how they handled it.

Yes, retroactively.

Saudi Arabia got off the hook for 911. This brings forward the impotency a lot of US citizens feel about the control the Sauds seem to hold over the US economy, foreign affairs, and government. It’s something President Trump inherited and hasn’t made better.

Maybe the same guys can handle the entire Washington ComPost staff the same way!

The most interesting thing about this story is how the turks are leaking info on their spy capabilities. They have tapes from inside the embassy and the story is “Kashoggi had is iwatch on and luckily it relayed the audio of his murder to the cloud where we just happened to find it”. More likely that embassy is bugged like crazy and now the Saudis know it.

Now they let us know that they can dig around in the gardens of embassy officials.
