Lesley Stahl’s interview with Trump was an undeniable get; he’d been scarce on mainstream media since around the time he appeared on tape with NBC’s Lester Holt and indicated he’d fired former FBI Director James Comey in part due to the Russia investigation.
But the interview seemed governed by two motives, both of which played into the hands of a media-savvy President whose refusal to play by typical rules of engagement has been at the center of his rise.

Funny part for me is that Leslie, truth be known, probably greatly desires that Trump, with his alpha maleness and power, would ‘see’ her. She had to be suffering great cognitive dissonance, struggling between her proggie religionism and her womanly desire to be handled by a strong, powerful man.
Demonrats would be well advised to NOT get into a battle of wits with POTUS!
The parts I watched, she was incredibly condescending. It felt like back in grade school, when you got chewed out for something that the teachers pet just got away with, with no consequences at all. She was absolutely VILE.
The MSM has effectively and unwittingly dumbed itself down to the point that President Trump or someone like him can play them like a fiddle and make them hit themselves at the same time until he decides when it’s time to stop.
She’s a ‘hubrist’ and she’s damned good at it.

All well and good; most tin pot dictators surround themselves with yes-men who offer continual praise, often ramping up from one point in time to the next. This inevitably leads to massive overconfidence, thus committing to courses of action which are bound to bring down disaster. Benito Mussolini was a sublime example, and of course including Adolf Hitler.
That is exactly what was ignored going into the 2016 election; the enemedia spewed the headlines as “public opinion” instead of reading the comments - which actually express the opinions of the voting public.

Loved this interview. Honest question- for a “progressive” group of people, the media (and 60 Minutes specifically) sure could use some fresh faces.
