The President talked over Lesley Stahl in a relentless blast of rhetoric that seemed more rally than interview
......the Presidents interview had effectively the same impact as a rally; it allowed him to bulldoze his chief enemy, the media, while airing his own points at ceaseless length.....
Lesley Stahls interview with Trump was an undeniable get; hed been scarce on mainstream media since around the time he appeared on tape with NBCs Lester Holt and indicated hed fired former FBI Director James Comey in part due to the Russia investigation.
But the interview seemed governed by two motives, both of which played into the hands of a media-savvy President whose refusal to play by typical rules of engagement has been at the center of his rise.

The obsequious press interviewing Obama. What a difference. Gag!
Funny part for me is that Leslie, truth be known, probably greatly desires that Trump, with his alpha maleness and power, would see her. She had to be suffering great cognitive dissonance, struggling between her proggie religionism and her womanly desire to be handled by a strong, powerful man.
Demonrats would be well advised to NOT get into a battle of wits with POTUS!
The parts I watched, she was incredibly condescending. It felt like back in grade school, when you got chewed out for something that the teachers pet just got away with, with no consequences at all. She was absolutely VILE.
The MSM has effectively and unwittingly dumbed itself down to the point that President Trump or someone like him can play them like a fiddle and make them hit themselves at the same time until he decides when it’s time to stop.
She’s a ‘hubrist’ and she’s damned good at it.
Andrea Mitchell is married to Greenspan.
She's in good company.....
"What are some of the greatest examples of hubris in real life?"
All well and good; most tin pot dictators surround themselves with yes-men who offer continual praise, often ramping up from one point in time to the next. This inevitably leads to massive overconfidence, thus committing to courses of action which are bound to bring down disaster. Benito Mussolini was a sublime example, and of course including Adolf Hitler.
That is exactly what was ignored going into the 2016 election; the enemedia spewed the headlines as “public opinion” instead of reading the comments - which actually express the opinions of the voting public.
Leslie Stahl was Trumped by The Trump. He he he
LOL “But you LOVE him” omg she sounds like she’s 15. Yeah, Trump loves Putin. . . .believe that Leslie. How stupid can she be?
Roadrunner and Wiley Coyote.
Loved this interview. Honest question- for a “progressive” group of people, the media (and 60 Minutes specifically) sure could use some fresh faces.
Ye olde timers don’t want to give up their grip on relevancy.
Ah, the CFR, the baby of the Fabian movement.
She was that vile about 60% of the time.
I agree.
Maybe take the line of anonymity. What would you think about someone who....?
Never mention her by name but make sure everyone knows who he is talking about.
We know how to interpret the Goebblesmedia: if something happens that it thinks is bad, it is a near certainty that it is good. If something happens it thinks is good, it is a near certainty that it is bad.
If there is any example of the Deep State it is Saudi Arabia.
We, and the British, created the damn state among possibly the most ignorant and venal people on Earth.
Cooperation between the oil companies, armaments industry, the military and politicians is what sustains the nation.
Should we step aside the place would rather quickly return to its original state since we are it’s only hope to accept the future.
This, like Iraq, is the outcome of f.u. British foreign policy or nation building.
Now that was a tv show.
