The Conners minus fired Roseanne Barr is one risky prospect. Weve got details on how ABC execs are afraid the show will fail without its longtime lead character.
Thanks to what Roseanne Barr calls a misunderstood tweet in May, she quickly was fired by ABC and the wildly successful revival of her 1990s sitcom was cancelled. The network thought her tweet about Barack Obama aide Valerie Jarrettwas racist and within hours Roseanne was out of a job. Now the show is going on without her and the rest of the cast is coming back for The Conners. ABC execs are fearful it will be a flop without the programs star and formerly title character. Sources tell DailyMailTV that it would have been far more prudent to give her a suspension rather than immediately terminate her. As a result, The whisper across ABC is that they will not even be a quarter of what Roseanne achieved last season, an insider tells DMTV.

So disrespectful, apes are just animals and are not intentionally evil. Shame on you for calling them Muslim.
Yep. Poster child for the most one-sided voting block this country has.
That’s it.
I was convinced she is a muppet.
Absolutely. She was gracious enough to step aside so they could all make their money. And not ONE of them stood by her side. Shameful.
The communist, PC left DEMONcRATS are permanently burning all of their bridges with America and the American people. Is it aNY wonder their MSM and leftist programs are all going down the toilet? No!
Let it crash and burn. ABC deserves another last place loser.
#4. Hey, what did you expect of the perennial loser ABC (All About Cowardice)? If the IQ’s of the leaders of ABC, NBC and CBS were combined for the criteria of common sense, common decency, and professional ethics, it would come out to be a MINUS 20.
There was a time when I would watch the comedy shows on all three networks regardless of their political orientation, which was often quite noticeable, but not grossly offensive.
I even watched Norman Lear productions except Murphy Brown (which I felt was juvenile despite having good actors and actresses).
“All In the Family”, “Sanford and Son”, “SOAP”, etc. All skewered some sacred cows but it was done in taste and had class.
Today’s shows (for the most part) are juvenile, tasteless, classless, and often just downright offensive and stupid.
I don’t think I’ve watched a regular season show in about 8 years.
Damned I miss Benny Hill”, “Black Adder”, “Monty Python”, and “Seinfeld”. All class, no ass.
You mean like the cross-dressing 10yr old boy? Really?
Karma is a double bladed bitch with a bad attitude.
That was the reboot. I’m talking about the original series from 1989. Groundbreaking television.
bump!
Disney is corrupt.
Disney is the star studio of Hollywood. Most of what they do turns to gold. Now they have Fox sometime next year, too. Not Fox News, though.
ABC is on the wrong side of history.
How misogynist, bigotted, racist, etc. of you!
Valerie Jarret bears only a passing resemblance to a hybrid ape mutant!
Regards,
On the MTM Show, Valerie Harper played a Jewish girl - don't know about the other show. But in real life, she is (if I recall correctly) of Italian descent, with no Jewish ties.
Regards,
The tell you in the article what they really regret. What they wish they had done was put Rosanne in purgatory, write her out of the show as hanging on death’s door in a hospital while they forced her to go on a groveling apology tour around the country. Then once the Trump supporter had been properly humbled, they’d have killed her character anyway. They regret missing the chance to humiliate her over a couple of months, that’s all. They’ll make the show, it will fail, and they won’t really care.
No sympathy vote here.
The show was a vehicle for her. Did they not understand that?
