The states in these two cases determined that giving Planned Parenthood state Medicaid funds was not a wise use of their limited resources, and that they could better serve their citizens by reallocating those funds to other comprehensive and preventive health organizations that are run more responsibly and offer a broader range of services.
Without intervention by the Supreme Court, states like Kansas and Louisiana will be forced to continue to provide tax dollars to the nations largest abortion business.

This will be more of a test of Chief Justice Roberts, now that he is the new swing vote.
If only three other Justices wanted to entertain the possibility that the status quo could be reversed, I'd say that doesn't look good for the states.
In reality this is not about abortion. It is about money. Endless amounts of taxpayer money, using a political position to hide behind.
“If only three other Justices wanted to entertain the possibility that the status quo could be reversed, I’d say that doesn’t look good for the states.”
That doesn’t make any sense as Ginsburg, Sotomayer and Kagan will always vote opposite the conservative majority.

It seems tougher by the hour for Planned Parenthood to rationalize its long-held motto, Care. No Matter What.
That steep task just got harder this week, amid revelations that a shuttered Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Iowa broke client confidentiality by leaving behind personal health information (PHI) records for over 2,500 of its former clients.
In early May, a Dubuque office affiliated with Planned Parenthood of the Heartland completed the sale of its property to Clarity Clinic, a local pregnancy help organization, and left behind a closet full of patient files that took Planned Parenthood staff 10 days to come and pick up.
All the keys that were for that closet were given to me, and I contacted a lawyer regarding it, Clarity Clinic executive director Kris Nauman said. He said, Dont let anyone have access to that closet, and dont look at anything in that closet. I said, I wont, and that was what we did. We kept it locked and confidential.
At the final walk-through May 6, Nauman alerted Planned Parenthoods real estate agent of the abandoned patient files and then watched as the agent called the Heartland office to make them aware of the breach.
When Planned Parenthood failed to make contact with Nauman in the days that followed, she and her staff reported the issue to a state agency and her local police department on the advice of Clarity Clinics medical directoran emergency
room doctor.
Neither of the governmental agencies responded to Clarity Clinic. Finally, on May 16a full 10 days after being notified of the deserted patient filesPlanned Parenthood sent over a staff member to collect them.
Planned Parenthood of the Heartland published a press release July 1 claiming it discovered a potential breech as early as May 6again, 10 days before they picked up the files.
It took them 10 days to come pick it up, Nauman said, noting her organization didnt move into the building until May 31. Nobody stole their files, they left them here. We protected the women, because that was our part. Our part is to help women, and we didnt want to hurt any womanregardless of what she came here to do. I hope that shows
loud and clear to whoever is listening.
Representing a minimum of 2,506 violations under the 1996 Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Planned Parenthood of the Heartland could be liable for $1.5 million per incidenta potential bill of $3.8 billion.
Susan Dammann, a registered nurse and medical specialist for Heartbeat Internationala network of over 2,000 pregnancy help locationsstressed the severity of Planned Parenthoods failure to protect its clients personal health information.
This appears to be gross negligence and a major HIPAA violation of Planned Parenthoods duty to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and security of their patients personal health information and medical records, Dammann said. Violation of privacy, identity breaches, and billing information for financial gain are only some of the concerns when medical records are not protected and secured.
Notably, even while Planned Parenthoods staff left its patient files exposed, they meticulously removed everything from the building before vacatingincluding every fire extinguisher.
Now you take out all the fire extinguishers, but you leave all those client documents with personal information, Nauman said.
With their current lease expiring in Dec. 2016, Nauman, who has served with Clarity Clinic since 2008, began praying along with her fellow leaders about a new location for their free ultrasound and STI testing, peer counseling, post-abortion counseling and other services, when Planned Parenthood announced it was closing and looking for a buyer for its facility at the start of 2016.
At just under 4,000 square feet, the former abortion clinic is nearly twice the size of Clarity Clinics former location a few blocks away. Even though theyre still on the hook for rent through the end of the year, the possibility of speeding Planned Parenthoods exit from the city was too good to pass up.
One of several pro-life pregnancy help organizations across the country to open in a closed abortion clinicincluding another former Planned Parenthood across the state in Creston, IowaClarity Clinic served upward of 60 clients in their first month at the new space.
Gods in the house, Nauman said. The atmosphere has changed here. Already since weve been in the building, there have been lives saved. Were just doing our mission. We pray for those people that work with Planned Parenthood who were associated with this problem, and pray that the people who were involved and had their things left behind, that God protects them.
<><>Another angle to explore: many of these women are minors impregnated by older men........a crime right there. <><>
We need data on the number of underage women being aborted...that could lead to data on underage women being sexually molested by an abortionist.

(REFERENCE---HAT TIP WAYNE) It has begun to leak out that some young women patronizing these "health clinics" for abortions have also been sexually abused by abortionists. These places are hotbeds for potential sexual abuse. The lowlife abortionist has already sold out his conscience. So having power over young vulnerable women creates an ideal climate for sexual abuse.
It has been known for some time. Arguably the most famous is Dr. Brian Finkle, who had over 100 complaints. He was extremely aggressive, threatening pro-lifers and making bizarre statements.
After Finkle went to prison to serve a 35 year sentence in 2001 for abusing women he quickly got on a prison dating website with the nickname "Road Kill."
There are others with multiple complaints like Drs Ian Hardy, Nareshkumar Patel, Harold O. Alexander, Timothy Liveright, Laurence Reich, Mansour G. Panah and Douglas Karpen who are probably just the tip of the iceberg. Many get away with it because corrupt abortion-supporting medical boards, prosecutors and judges help them.
Appropriate reaction by the states to PP’s actions.
Continuing to pray that the Lord would remove those three ASAP.
“Without intervention by the Supreme Court, states like Kansas and Louisiana will be forced to continue to provide tax dollars to the nations largest abortion business.”
And that is why Ginsburg, Sotomayor, and Kagan will not vote to hear the case. They’re happy with this current situation. If I’m reading the article right, at most three of the other five justices were interested in hearing it. The author of the article is raising only a possibility that Kavanaugh would be the fourth.
Not really an abortion test. Sounds like a test of fraud waste and abuse.
It’s not a first test on abortion. Shows how the leftist mob is obsessed with their precious abortion.
Test?
They think he’s being tested?
No. He’s in.
Maybe they mean he’s supposed to care what they think of him.
Is it possible they saw a likely 4-4 deadlock and decided to wait until a 9th justice was added? (I don't know if they make calculations like that, but 4-4 would leave the status quo.)
It is almost always about the money, sadly.
On its face, but philosophically it’s about the fiction that Planned Parenthood is a “health care provider.”
His kids are now 18 so he can vote without any more threats.
This is just approval for the cases to be heard sometime in the future. No ruling for a long time.
Four justices must agree to have the cases before the Supreme Court. If there was not a fourth before Kavanaugh joined, it’s a bad sign.

Hownin the bloody hell did we get to a point where not onky is planned parenthood allowed to operate, but now it seems to just be blindly accepted that governments MUST fund them? It is so absolutely crazy!!!
