Is America a Republic or is it a Democracy – What is it?
Metallicman ^ | 11OCT18 | Editorial staff

I often hear Conservatives explicitly state that America is a Constitutional Republic. They argue this, because the United States Constitution set the organization and layout of the nation as a Republic. It states this explicitly as such. Meanwhile, I often hear Liberals, Democrats and Progressives repeatedly state that America is a Progressive Democracy. They say this, mostly because I guess, they don’t know any better. They parrot what they have heard.

Today, sadly, America does not function like either a Republic or a Democracy. It functions as something else. It functions and operates as an Oligarchy. It really does. Let’s look at this issue and try to determine what is going on in America; the most significant nation on this planet…

Americans are brought up to believe all sorts of myths about the country we call home. We’re told our economy is a free market meritocracy governed by the rule of law. We’re told our civil liberties, enshrined in the Bill of Rights, are inviolable and protected by the most powerful military in the world. A fighting force entrusted with the admirable and monumental task of defending freedoms at home, and democracy and human rights abroad. We’re told we exist in a system of self-government, in which our votes matter and our voices heard.

In practice, none of this is true.

There are many, many people who have addressed this issue. The arguments are rather simple and blunt.

If America is an actual Republic, then why is there a Federal Reserve, Senators that are popularly elected, and federal agencies that override the tenth Amendment. Republics that follow the Constitution will have none of this.

Alternatively, if America is a Democracy, then why are the populist issues resolved in the favor of the wealthy elite? Why are we endlessly involved

So where does Trump’s winning play in to your “predictable” scenario?

I mean, his non-stop winning?

A bi-partisan kleptocratic oligarchy finally being challenged by Trump.

America is a nation founded by God-fearing people.

The relationship between these God-fearing people and God is what defines America.

Foolish thoughts and actions from those who find justice in themselves are of no consequence, other than to seal the fate of those self-reliant losers.

We do NOT live in a democracy, we live in a constitutional republic with democratically held elections. In a democracy, 51% of the people can take 100% of your rights. In a republic, the rights of all are equally protected. In a democracy, the mob rules.

Too long for me to read in one shot.

But too important not to read this in its entirety .

It is frighteningly accurate!

Of course the United States is a Republic. Benjamin Franklin said so*, and that’s good enough for me.

Franklin did not say anything at all about “Progressive Democracy,” which is a modern term of leftist politics used not infrequently as a propaganda tool by socialist leftists and soft nosed idiotic country club RINOs like Romney. So our history is very clear on the point that the USA is a Republic.

The left keeps whining about it , trying to revise history so they can usher in a totalitarian nanny state as a ‘purer democracy.’, complete with mob violence. Mob violence, in the minds of touch holes at metallicman.com is justifiable as democracy in action , you see.

This is why we hav the topics of both the electoral college being disbanded becuase we need only the popular vote ( The rule of the cities over the rest of the country) , and talk about not being a Republic.

Take it to the bank, we were founded as a Republic, a historical; fact. The leftists can fit that up their rectal orifices sideways if the have to, give them some Trump lube.

*******************************************

AUTHOR: Benjamin Franklin (1706–90)
QUOTATION: “Well, Doctor, what have we got—a Republic or a Monarchy?”

“A Republic, if you can keep it.”

ATTRIBUTION: The response is attributed to BENJAMIN FRANKLIN—at the close of the Constitutional Convention of 1787, when queried as he left Independence Hall on the final day of deliberation—in the notes of Dr. James McHenry, one of Maryland’s delegates to the Convention.

McHenry’s notes were first published in The American Historical Review, vol. 11, 1906, and the anecdote on p. 618 reads: “A lady asked Dr. Franklin Well Doctor what have we got a republic or a monarchy. A republic replied the Doctor if you can keep it.” When McHenry’s notes were included in The Records of the Federal Convention of 1787, ed. Max Farrand, vol. 3, appendix A, p. 85 (1911, reprinted 1934), a footnote stated that the date this anecdote was written is uncertain.

If you don’t seek the Lord, where is your knowledge?

In self righteousness, what happens to understanding?

Big City democracy can go pound sand.

Democrat Big City:
Big City New York has concrete & asphault.
It has no animals, no trees, forests, mountains, streams, grassland. It has nothing.

Republican Country:
South Dakota has streams, forests, animals, grass and openness.

NEVER GIVE UP YOUR STATE! WHERE EVER! NEVER!

Forge a written pact with other States to never give it up. In fact, dilute the big city vote.

I don't know what is "sad" about this.

Go back and study the period in U.S. history leading up to the American Revolution, and for the first 70-80 years after that.

This country was designed to function as an oligarchy -- run by wealthy men who replaced the British crown and parliament as the rulers of this new country.

Those men would have vomited at the idea that every adult in the U.S. who could breathe on a mirror would have the right to vote.

We have a two-party system.

Globalist party D

Globalist party R

Feel free to vote for the globalist of your choice!

>”The Founders hated democracy and went to great pains to ensure that our new government not take that form.”<

Were there any democracies in the world at the time of our founders. How did the founders come to hate them?

Federalism. The states would never have entered into the union without the 10th Amendment and the Senate where they had equal representation.

The Dems now want to eliminate the Electoral College saying one man, one vote. They want to erase the states and just treat them as administrative units. It would undo the Constitution and unravel our Republic.

If they control us so completely, why do they still have to hide what they do?

Why will their entire operation collapse when it’s revealed to the common man?

Why is the common man their greatest fear?

I am beginning to realize IMHO that Trump has a style that is Tsun Tzu 2.0. He doesn’t turn from his next victory to engage the enemy on a battlefield (metaphorically) that he has already won. There is simply no need. The Buzzards will clean up the last battlefield, he need not sully his hands and the repeateded challenges from his wounded enemies to do so are just trying to goad him into returning to a fight he has won. He doesn’t have the time. This is his style and it occurred to me yesterday this is exactly why his enemies said two years ago “He is a bull that brings his own China Shop with him.” This is exactly the kind of protestation his enemies would make. He isn’t going to turn around and apologize for wrecking their precious china shop, he is going to take the momentum of his last victory and leverage it into his next victory. He said it. “You will be tired of wining.”
