Just posting this because you won't see it on Television, because it's actual news, and television doesn't report on real news.
ashington (CNN Business)The last time the American job market was this strong, astronauts were still going to the moon. The unemployment rate fell to 3.7% in September, the lowest level since December 1969

But remember, Obama said, we have to remember when this recovery started, as he claimed it started when he was still president.................
Isn’t this number for all effects and purposes zero?
Can’t imagine that if 96.3 percent of those who can work are working, there isn’t something out there for everybody.
No blue wave this year lol.
I do not agree.
We are running a MASSIVE trade deficit with China.
The worst, between any two countries, in all of world, recorded history.
Anywhere. Any time. Ever.
Celebrate when that has been corrected.
Not one minute before then...
Yes. Buttcrack started it. He started an 8 year disaster which caused the American public to vote for Trump in a landslide.
There are many tens of millions who can work, but choose not to.
They may be on welfare or retired, for instance.
The unemployment numbers are therefore bogus for the main number reported, but Trump has turned these into gold for election purposes.
You know CNN hated to announce that. You could almost feel sorry for the worthless bastards.
Time to remove welfare benefits. Something tells me those on welfare are unemployable.
Keep the Mexicans here? Deport those whose fingerprints are on a crime scene. That will free up people who would otherwise be victims.
I was born in 69
It was a helluva year
We landed on the moon when I was born
One statistic does not a booming economy make.
Im not saying things are not better. But many stats for the economy are still derived by ignoring much of the same stuff the obama economy ignored when they did their stats, amd those that did the stars before them. Namely the people unemployed and no longer looking. Its a huge number. but its not taken into account in many stats.
Do you think it has ANY real value?
Like maybe it’s off a few point regularly but as it goes lower, there is some truth that jobs are being created?
We have done the stats this way for a very long time -- decades that I can remember.
No it is not perfect, I see the same flaws that you do, but as a comparison of economic well-being that lasts over a time frame of my entire life, there is no better measure. It is at least the same from administration to administration.
Right now is the best short-term economic situation of my adult life, 73 last month. One more year and it will be the best long-term economic situation of my adult life, and probably of any person alive.
I am praying for a red wave in November.
Wonderful. Now, why isn’t my office phone ringing off the hook with new business?
Oh, that’s right. Illegals are now taking even more of my family’s business than ever before. Lucky them...
For the record, not all Americans are prospering in this new golden age of American prosperity.
By January the Demwits will be saying, "thank you sir, may I have another."
It’s all Kavanaugh’s fault. This will increase work-place accidents. I bet he’s rubbing his hands in evil glee, right before he and Thomas try to gang bang a drugged Judge Ginzberg.
You owe me some brain soap.
