Common wisdom? This is the first place I have seen it.
Lost in this whole hoopla, [as I am fairly sure Kavanaugh probably won't pursue any more action against CBF], is her motive and her 100% certainty that it was Brett Kavanaugh that sexually assaulted her. My theory is her payback at whatever slight she perceived she got from him when they were young. Brett Kavanaugh may not even know the grudge CBF held against him, let alone it simmered all these 36 years.
As the article eluded about “junk science” and whatnots, it will not prevent the next person who want his/her 5 minute of fame to allege another fake smear. Unless there are severe consequences suffered by those perpetrators, more innocent people are going to get hurt, and hurt badly. This won't end well.

I do believe she is lying. We are to believe she does not remember how she got there, she does not know how she got home, there were five or six or maybe seven people there ( depends on this scientific accurate memory) and nobody noticed she feft or cared? We have to believe Keyser didn’t remember ever meeting Judge Kavanaugh or being at the party because she is sick. I mean the only other female there disappears and Keyser was to sick to remember her friend leaving her all of a sudden ? Or perhaps nothing happened to her so Keyser doesn’t recall her best friend leaving? No follow up next day etc. Then we have to believe Ford doesn’t remember the location? It is a complete vacuum. When Mitchell mentioned memory recovery Ford didn’t seem to know a forensic interview was the best form of memory recovery. I mean she is a psychologist and she simply didn’t care to learn more about this life shattering event? So Ford never had a forensic interview? Then Ford claims her Doctors notes provide proof but nobody but the news paper gets to see them? Oh never mind we are destroying a life here. Can we call BS?
Let me help you out there, Avi Selk. I do NOT think “doctor” Ford got confused about who attacked her. I don’t think anyone ever DID attack her. I think she made the whole lying screed up out of whole cloth. That’s how she could “KNOW” it was him, but couldn’t remember anything else. And why her 4 so-called witnesses all denied knowing ANYTHING about it.

Leftists always try to divert from their crimes by accusing others of the same or similar crime. Junk science is their way to divert from the techniques used by Christine Ford to self-hypnotize, fool her Husband with false memory, use her own techniques to scam a sham lie-detector.
Since it is so obvious these were used, the opposition must be accused of the corresponding crime or shortcoming thus diverting from having the obvious called on them. It is generally pre-emptive or done before their obvious criminality or failing is heavily analyzed.

When was this theory ever advanced by those who were skeptical of Ford’s claims? I have seen only two given: Either Ford was outright lying or something happened and the person involved was not Brett Kavanaugh. I never read that it was suggested that the trauma of sexual assault had messed up her memory.
