When was this theory ever advanced by those who were skeptical of Ford’s claims? I have seen only two given: Either Ford was outright lying or something happened and the person involved was not Brett Kavanaugh. I never read that it was suggested that the trauma of sexual assault had messed up her memory.
There was quite a lot about that and it all came from Ford and her defenders. It was her primary excuse for recalling nearly nothing.
