U.S. Senator Steve Daines (R) says he needs to be in Montana this weekend for his daughter's wedding, throwing Saturday's vote on Kavanaugh in doubt - NBCMT

I don’t think it’s fake....
It’s Fake that he won’t be voting. It’s another hysterical report.
Care to enlighten us as to when/how he will be voting?
McConnell knows how to count votes and he knows these people well ... who he can trust and who he cannot. I'm confident in his ability to work this out so the vote is not in jeopardy.
This is exactly what fighter aircraft were designed for.. ;)
This is exactly what fighter aircraft were designed for.. ;)
What’s Daines big deal anyway? He’s probably not paying out of pocket for the big day anyway. Is she apt to go into labor if they postpone it? Something doesn’t pass the smell test here
The guy’s net worth is $15 million.
Fly little precious and her wedding to D.C.!
If you read the original Billings story....he says he IS voting.
Daines told The Associated Press Thursday in a statement that two things are going to happen this weekend: There’s going to be a new Supreme Court justice and Daines is going to walk his daughter down the aisle.
Why do people gravitate to hysterical conclusions?? He is VOTING.
IIRC Trump has a couple of 757s that he hasn’t been flying lately. Their top speed is 610 MPH and it might be an opportunity to blow the cobwebs out of the engines.
How do you think he is voting? McConnell needs the approval of ALL 100 Senators to move the vote back. Explain how this comes to pass.
If he says that Kavanaugh is going to be confirmed and that he's going to walk his daughter down the aisle, I'll take his word that he's got this figured out.
This answer is EASY: A wedding.
Votes can be delayed... Weddings are much harder.
At least make a waiver in this case. Trump could issue an executive order.
That article does NOT say hes voting. Hes assuming the three-headed sisterhood of Flake, Murkowski and Collins will vote YES.
Mitch is not worried. Daines will be voting.
“Daines has supported Kavanaugh throughout a confirmation process that’s turned increasingly bitter following sexual assault and misconduct allegations against the nominee.
The senator’s spokeswoman, Katie Schoettler, says Daines read the FBI report on the allegations and saw no evidence corroborating claims made by Christine Blasey Ford and two other women.”
bad grief! he is managing the senate. He has what 52 republicans and staff? He schedules a vote on a Saturday when they re not expected in session.
He is responsible for knowing of his causes will be there. That’s called vote counting.
Good Grif!
See my post at 215.
No doubt he says he supports Kavanaugh.. but he will not be voting Saturday, and McConnell needs ALL 100 Senaturds to move the vote back.
I’m not that gullible. You need to study the anatomy of a story. We have three different reports.
The Fox story is a piece of garbage. It’s not based in fact.
