I can’t believe what I am hearing, and he claims to be a Senator and a republican(?) to boot. Nothing short of amazing.

Could be interesting to put pressure on several democrats to make the deciding vote. If the vote is coming up short once the vote starts I think there can be a motion to reconsider and the vote can be moved to later.

All I can say is if he misses the vote and Kavanaugh is not confirmed because of it I would not want to be in his shoes. Imagine his daughter forever being known as the reason for the demise of a great nation for this is absolutly the end of the republican party and the beginning of the end of days.
