Sorry to post this but am in an argument with liberal relative about Christine Ford's lies and when I cited the lie about the door being done in 2012 when it was actually added in 2011 (read that here on FR), she responded with this article.

Does anyone have a rebuttal?

I thought the counseling session in 2012 caused her to remember this and then do a door.

It doesn’t support her story, the door was for renters and it’s ludicrous she put in a 2nd door 30 years later due to a high school incident. Use some common sense. She’s a manipulative liar.

It proves she is lying.
She claims those memories were repressed until drawned out by a therapist in 2012.

So ‘putting a second door to have an escape route due to the incident’ is pure BS. Since the building permit to do that work was pulled in 2008

She got the second door to become an illegal landlord, renting to Google and Stanford interns.

BTW, here 2200sq/ft home is worth over $3 million!

You can see the progression of landscaping to hide the main door behind some shrubs. The 2nd front door now appears to be the original front door but turns and goes into a 200-300 sq foot garage.

so they added a bedroom with a door for rental purposes in 2008 and that caused her to need marital counseling in 2012?

Irrelevant. If any records show the second door was for a) access to a separate apartment within the renovated house, b) for a home-based business, or c) for a “live-in couples counselor”, then her story about the second door being needed in case of assault is BS.

Ask your friend why she believes the few things Ballsey Ford can remember when there are so many things she cannot?

I am betting that the remodel & addition of 753 SQ FT at a permit value of just shy of $144,000 makes this ‘remodel’ cost at $191.00 Per Sq Ft.

She added a bathroom—added a bedroom-—remodeled the KITCHEN and some other work, apparently adding another front door.

I smell a rat-—This ‘remodel’ was to ADD a RENTAL UNIT into the house that had it’s own entrance. AGAINST Palo Alto zoning rules.

Palo Alto & many other Bay area cities have a chronic problem of housing & many people are trying to pull off this kind of ‘rental unit’.

Other records show that 8 different people used that address....p0erhaps living in that rental unit???

This story is needing a full review...

Palo Alto Planning & Licensing board needs to examine what actually got done there.

So someone so traumatized by an experience in high school that she needed a second door to her house to feel safe, is completely unbothered with renting our her house and sharing her house with total strangers?

If the door in question has any glass, one will likely find the date of manufacture of the glass etched into the corner of the glazing. I’m betting the door was installed well before 2012.

Recommend you search FR for the last few days. There was an article about a professional/associate/friend/? that was using the same address along with some construction.

I wondered when reading whether the property had a zoning waiver - if required - for using a residential property for professional/commercial purposes.

She has a FRONT DOOR ( now TWO FRONT DOORS ) in her "master bedroom" ?

Ford: I was so traumatized I insisted a second door to my house be installed.

Also Ford: I rent portions of my house to strangers.

You don’t mess with Eichler homes.. The audacity of whoever put a second door in the back in the bedroom.... what a cad. Good thing it wasn’t a glass one.. or worse yet.. French.

Theres still holes in her fairy tale...

The plans for the extra door was in 2008 but her husband didn’t ask her until 2012 why she insisted on having it ???

Anyone want to buy a slightly used bridge ???

If you are living in fear of sexual assault, it seems that adding a second door would be the last thing you'd do. A second door provides another access point. Was she afraid of her husband?

I have a neighbor, a single woman, who always (24/7/365) leaves her front porch light on and never opens any of her curtains or blinds. If she is afraid of something in the outside world, would she install a second front door?

The only thing I’d have to say about this is that a crazy woman can come up with some mighty crazy remodeling ideas - ever hear of the Winchester House?
