The FBI has no jurisdiction either, even without the statute of limitations.

Just maybe Flake knew this and led the Rats into the trap to get the two Rats on the Committee to get quorum.

Flake is not the one I’m worried about, it’s Collins and Murkowski that are going to be the problem.

Actually the FBI sometimes has jurisdiction over kidnapping. Ford accused Kavanaugh of locking the door to prevent her escape. This is legally considered kidnapping. There appears to be a 7 year federal statute of limitations on kidnapping that does not result in death. However, the only federal law I have found so far is Title 18, U.S.C., Section 249, which is also known as the Hate Crimes Act.

In Maryland, there is no statute of limitations for rape or sexual violence. Rape was not alleged, and I don’t know what a prosecutor would file if Ford had reported in 1982. Probably nothing, if no date, time, or location were given.

Thought FBI can perform background checks for federal judges I believe, which is what they were ordered to do....again. But I suppose they cant investigate it as a crime if there is no federal law against shat he is accused of and even the state law expired long ago. Hope they do exam the credibilty of her story and expose the holes so Judge K can have his name cleared of the slime.

The FBI is tasked with background investigations on judicial and other nominees. The president has called for an investigation,. THAT IS their jurisdiction under the highest authority. The fault is not with the FBI. It is with Trump, McConnell and Grassley

Been the saying the same for days. Last night on social media one idiot stated that if he was innocent he would have the FBI investigate himself.

Yes that is how stupid liberals are.

Why would someone who is innocent want today’s FBI to investigate themselves, and further more the judge doe snot have the authority to make the, The FBI does not even have jurisdiction over this and if one is to report a crime you go to the local law enforcement, not the media with 3 letters, and an elected official.

I wish the socialist of today would understand the basic facts of an issue instead of mouthing off with emotion, and talking points.

The FBI has no jurisdiction either, even without the statute of limitations.

Unless, they are investigating lying to the senate judiciary committee. That may be a federal crime. If not, you are correct.

They can investigate any old thing, though, jurisdiction or no.

They’re not investigating the allegation. They’re interviewing people as part of his, amended background investigation.
