Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum: We’ll Fight You for Your Guns and We Will Win
The Truth About Guns ^ | 08/24/18 | Kat Ainsworth

Posted on 09/24/2018 10:08:39 AM PDT by Simon Green

“The gun lobby sued me – twice – and they lost – twice.

“When we win, we are going to ban assault weapons in Florida.

“And if the gun lobby fights us – and they will – we’ll beat them again.” – Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum, Democrat candidate for governor via Twitter. Gillum was recently endorsed by Everytown for Gun Safety.

Every DeSantis commercial I have seen has been so meek and boring.M
===============

That's because DeSantis is weak and boring. The swamp in FL won't let a strong candidate raise to the top, it's still run by Jeb Bush's cronies.

As a Florida resident I am seeing signs the Republican voters might be complacent.

I remember 2010 when the Republicans were all ‘fired up’ because Obamacare had been passed and as a result they elected a bunch of conservatives.

But by 2012 the voters were pacified into thinking the new conservative leaders would take immediate action and went back to sleep.

Are we seeing the same pacifism today? Trump won big in 2016 and just maybe too many Republican voters feel they do not have to get excited in 2018.

In our county 84.3% of the Registered Republicans voted in the 2016 General Election. That is close to a 100% turnout when one factors in people being sick on election day or they had moved and their name is still on the voter rolls.

For the other Florida Freepers what kind of turnout did you see in your county by the Registered Republicans in 2016?

We need to encourage all Registered Republicans to have a turnout in the 2018 General Election like we had in 2016.

Then you've probably noticed a few changes, expect even more.

BTW I'm voting for DeSantis, but he was a lousy Senate candidate when he was in the primary, and he's a weaker candidate for Governor.

UGGHH! Don’t mention the name JEB! to me, LOL, I despise everything named bush even blueberries!

I like Ron De Santis as a member of the Freedom Caucus. He seems like a fine young man. But even if he wasn’t he would still be better than Gillum.

Ron needs to step it up!

So many older voters in FL seem confused too. Of course, the young will flock to the socialist.

And the virtue signaling Democratic Kosher Nostra of Miami will vote for the communist even though:

Gillum ally staged flash mob to promote boycott of Israel.

Ron likes to play ball with the swamp and he's Rubio's buttboy.

Remember this:

3way primary race for Senate in late 2015/early 2016.

Rubio, DeSantis, Carlos Beruff.

Rubio loses bid for POTUS, tells DeSantis to drop out so he can try to get his Senate seat back. DeSantis DROPS OUT (what was he promised?)

Primary is Rubio vs Beruff, Rubio wins.

Did you know Beruff was 100% a Trump man? Rubio not so much. It's clear to me DeSantis takes his orders from Rubio.

Chew on that.

“State income tax is barred by the Florida Constitution.”

Constitutions of any kind are no impediment at all to Communists!!! He WILL figure out a way around that, no doubt about it!!!

Presbyterian Reporter, you're absolutely right. I am also seeing signs of complacency this year. We had a firearms-rights rally in Sarasota this Saturday and less than half the numbers we had two months ago showed up. No mention in the media that I saw. A DeSantis rally later in the day at the airport apparently went better.

A bit more than a week ago, Governor Rick Scott had to both enter and leave out the back door of the venue he appeared at here in Venice; his security detail deemed the angry democrat crowd outside, screaming about red tide, too great a threat.

It's only natural, as I see it -- "we've won, so we can rest now", while our opposition is pissed off beyond their normal derangement limit. Which is why the pendulum tends to swing back and forth, I guess.

But we can't be sitting back this season. It sucks, but the shit-show which is the Kavanaugh "confirmation hearings" gives us a glimpse of what is to come if the left attains power again. They are becoming more and more rabid as time goes on. They are unfit to govern.

The only thing worse than them is the legions of angry, frightened, brainwashed sheep which is their constituency.

Given the number of liberals they’re importing from New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, etc., I don’t see how the hell they could avoid going the way of Virginia.
