If they can’t confirm Kavanaugh then every person who said vote for the GOP because the Supreme Court matters is dead wrong

Nothing Candidate Trump said enraged me more. I'm not mad at President Trump now, but I will be if he does not quickly come to the realization that this total warfare against his administration means that our usurping, all-powerful, judicial branch/state religion is killing America.

The GOP-e told us they couldn’t fight against Obama for fear of being called Racist.
Not it appears that they are incapable of fighting against anyone except their own Base of voters.

Why aren’t they defending Trump, or AMERICA?

Grassley, McConnell, Ryan, etc DO NOT want the responsibility of political leadership. They fear the Democrats abd the Press. They just want to collect “contributions” from globalist corporations whose interests they promote.

Useless bastards with no conscience or guts.

Trump should start his own party.
I am a lifelong Republican who has grown to HATE that political party.

They are despicable, weak and cowardly and only stand for their own pockets.

“It appears the Republicans hate Trump as much as the Democrats”

No, Republicans have contempt for their conservative voting base. They much prefer their wealthy donors, intellectuals, suburban country club members, and their Democrat colleagues in government.

Recognize the average Republican in Congress, and particularly in the Senate, has more in common with Diane Feinstein and Chuck Schumer, or the news readers on CNN, than with the average middle class voter in middle America.

Given a choice between having dinner with a K street lobbyist, a Democrat colleague, a liberal college professor, a wealth liberal CEO, or any Ivy League school graduate or the average middle class voter in their district, there’s no question which choice most GOP politicians will make.

"The Republicans in the Senate are in a very delicate position and have to walk a VERY fine line."

I do NOT buy THAT at all... America is waiting for someone, ANYONE...to jump up and punch "DiFi" right in the chops..! To let this slithering piece of human waste destroy a mans good life for the sake of Satan's demons, the liberals, is cowardly to say the least... NEVER be afraid to say what you mean, and mean what you say... It's what it means to be an American.! What the hell good is our "BILL OF RIGHTS" if we're afraid to use it.. If your a GOOD American, then GOOD Americans will vote for you.... All the rest can go to hell..!

Sorry for the rant....but I'm really pissed about this Kavanaugh thing. Civility is dead....it's time to look in our back pockets for something else... :(

Two plausible reasons:

1. The GOP is letting the DEM’s go to the extreme in the Kavanaugh smear so that the DEM’s will look very foolish and suffer mightily in the November elections.

2. The Elite GOP wants to take down Trump in any way and making a mockery of Kavanaugh is as good a method as any.

They are all intimidated by the Liberals.

Maybe Hillary had the FBI dossiers of some of them who are still in office!

I mean, they are being wimpy beyond even THEIR usual spineless selves

Darth Vader Ginsburg can now retire in peace, knowing her replacement will be chosen by a democrat controlled senate.

Why? Because the majority of them are part of the deep state treason. Controlled opposition.

“Because the Republicans are willing to give up the country to the Democrats to keep their jobs and all of their pork.
This is the end of the Republican Party and the start of an FDR-long socialist nightmare.”

Yup.

Whereas FDR tossed Americans of Japanese descent into camps, the Rats will toss conservatives into camps (well, this is one conservative who will “not go gently into that goodnight”).

......”men have a right to the presumption of innocence unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt”....

Obviously this isn't the case. Character assassination is all about ‘raising doubt’ and ‘perception’ not facts.

Hammer a story, true or false, out there over and over until doubt festers sufficient to affect elections.

It's never about if its true or not. Which is why once the elections have passed you never hear any more about these allegations. Dems will always abandon those they use.

We don’t actually know what the Republicans are, or are not, saying. Their story is probably not covered by the media. If a tree falls in the forest and the media doesn’t cover it, does it make a sound?

One caveat... the MSM and MSNBC WILL cover WHAT Republicans say WHEN they say things that help Democrats OR things that make Republicans look bad...

It's why Flake (who has ZERO power and is not even running for office again) gets press coverage whenever he opens his mouth. On this issue Susan Collins can sneeze and the press whores run to cover her snot... So, it's not that they ignore all of us - they cover Republicans willing to stab fellow Republicans in the back. It's why and how McCain got so much positive press coverage.

Yep. They are trying to “be nice” so as not to be accused of misogynism.

“This is a new Salem Witch frenzy. Maybe not hanging, but if people know that they can sway a decision in the federal government, how long until your neighbor feels like smearing you and making you unemployable for some rediculous (sic) reason because they don’t like you?”

Bingo! We have a winner!

But, believe me, if the Rats take full control the hanging part will shortly follow.

Vote now whether you have the votes or not.

That would appear to make the most sense, if the Senate has the authority and the votes to affirm the nominee notwithstanding a committee vote against the nominee.

If that is the case, then the R's are presently looking the wrong way through the telescope and should do as you recommend.

If that is not the case, and we conduct what amounts to a tactical retreat, then the left will simply carry on its attack with Amy Barrett or any other judicial nominee (Finestein already has practice v Barrett). It would seem better in such case to stand where we are and fight to expose the left's duplicity.
