Republicans are ready to push ahead with a vote on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh after becoming frustrated with his accuser who has now rebuffed the chances the GOP has offered her to tell her story.
Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley said hes sticking with his plan to hold a hearing Monday to give Christine Blasey Ford a chance to detail her allegation that Judge Kavanaugh, as a 17-year-old high school student, attempted to strip off her clothes and stifle her cries for help.
The judge has vehemently denied the allegations, as have others Ms. Blasey Ford says were witnesses. She, meanwhile, has backed away from her earlier calls for a public chance to tell her story, saying now that she first wants the FBI to investigate the judge, and wants to set her own timing for a hearing.

His fellow Republicans are increasingly miffed at Ms. Blasey Fords actions.

Sen. Bob Corker, Tennessee Republican, said Mr. Grassley has properly handled the matter and has been fair to both the judge and his accuser.

Likewise, Sen. Jeff Flake, an Arizona Republican, told CNN Tuesday night that the Senate will soon have to move ahead with a vote.
And Sen. Susan Collins, Maine Republican, told WVOM radio that Ms. Blasey Ford has been given plenty of good options and should choose one of them.

He's given Ford and the Dems every opportunity and they keep trying to delay. Sens Corker, Flake, Collins and Graham are on board with Grassley.
I’ve always liked Chuck...most of the time.
Good.
Bravo Zulu Senator Grassley!!
The Dems are now Brain Storming ,LOL
I’m not real happy with the way they allow things to be delayed, but as long as Kavanaugh is seated, I’ll take it.
...Subpoena the c**t. Put her under oath, drill the s**t out of her using a hard core attorney to ask al the questions.
Subpoena her family...
You never want to do that with someone who claims sex abuse who doesn’t want to talk.
Her refusal to be questioned says everything that can and needs to be said.

I’m waiting for the new slimy democrat move, arent you?
First, in no case does even the most sympathetic, convincing victim of a crime get to dictate the terms of the investigation.
The check hasnt cleared yet for the next accuser or other girl at party.
I hear you, Kavanaugh being seated is the priority.
Looks like their delaying antic is not working.I expect another bimbo eruption soon.Rats won’t quit so early.
Opening statement:
Well if it isn’t little Miss Slut Slut?
You ain’t goin’ near this boy.
There's only ONE word that can describe this type of evil vindictive snake of a female:
COWARD!!
I hate people with talent.
Hat tip.
The main thing that has happened is that R voters have loaned the US Senate a spine. They have also pushed through some other lower level confirmations, which were not expected, but I guess enough of us are ticked off at their do-nothing throw their hands in the air approach that they began to understand they have a problem.
No he hasn't been fair to the judge. Feinstein should be censured for her tactics. How can someone be on the Judiciary Committee with so little regard for due process.
“Brain storming” means trying to find other skanks that will accept money to accuse Kavanaugh of some impropriety.
I’m hopeful that this new backbone by POTUS and the Senate may finally wake the Dems up to the fact that their same old dirty tricks will no longer work. We’ve been tolerating their immature crap for close to 30 years.
