Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Arizona, sits on the Judiciary Committee and had previously said the committee should hold off on voting until they hear from the accuser. However, Flake said Tuesday that if Ford fails to appear at the hearing scheduled for Monday, he would support his party's push to move forward on a vote on Kavanaugh.
"I think we'll have to move to the markup," he told CNN.
Flake said he's hopeful Ford will accept the committee's invitation and speak at the hearing. "I hope she does. I think she needs to be heard," he said.

[Someone made Flake an offer he couldnt refuse!]
No need. The guy’s about to be unemployed, he has very few assets to his name, and he’s got a family to feed. He needs to stay in the good books of future employers, and a good chunk of them will be the Boards of Directors of major corporations. At the same time, if she doesn’t testify, he’ll have an excuse to vote for Kavanaugh. The #metoo plague has become so virulent, even expressing the wrong opinion can be a job-killer, especially for a Senator whose vote is a matter of public record. Many Freepers hold jobs that would be in jeopardy if their identities were made public along with their views on this board. Free speech is a dead letter. Thanks to Google, running afoul of the prevailing PC standards on a public forum can mean being blackballed for the rest of your working career.

People aren’t stupid. They KNOW this is a complete setup by the Democrats and believe me ALL those Republicans on the committee are hearing from their constituents.

Brent hired one of the toughest female lawyers in DC .
She is Dick Gregorys wife and she is cut throat .
The Dems are back peddling because she would conduct a live autopsy
on this Former Teen Tramp / Left Wing Puppet .

She already said she won’t testify, so hold the vote this Thursday, as originally planned.

Yes you are right, but nothing worries me because I quit working 20 years ago, took early retirement.
May be Flake was modelling for a job at CNN or MSNBC.

This is all a dance. Dems produce last minute gambit. Republicans say, ok, she can come and speak and answer questions. Oh, she doesn’t want to? Then we vote. The Republicans at least made a good faith effort, the Democrats are clearly acting in bad faith, so what can you do?

what choice do you have, you freak?

It wasn't DiFi that made this up. Difi was used by the Deep State to get this bullshit into the media and Senate.
She is beyond her "Use By Date", so if this blows up, which it is, Difi will be discarded.
The accuser didn't make this up either, she is simply the actor chosen to play the part. The script was written by somebody else.
Her lawyer even said 'corroboration is not her clients job'.
The plan was to have the Deep State friendly FBI lend credibility to the accusation.
I believe this will all fail and Kavanaugh gets confirmed. Now, though, he will not get any Democrat votes.

Flake needs to handle this very carefully even if he wants a non-media job on Boards of Directors or even just a regular job at a big company. #metoo and other PC norms are like the Eye of Sauron. Look at what happened to Papa John’s biggest shareholder, John Schnatter, and he founded the company. This is the world we live in now, thanks to the worthless snakes running the GOP.

Flake should vote for confirmation whether she shows up or not. Her story is B.S. She can’t remember half of what she alleges. She isn’t even 100% certain it was Kavanaugh. This is nothing more than just another underhanded, low-down, deceptive, unethical, typical Democrat folly. Time to crush them! Even the public knows how these low-lifes operate.
To: goldstategop
It also puts McCaskill in a tougher spot. She might have voted for Kavanaugh to fight back the charge that she’s lost her Missouri values. But now, Democrats won’t dare allow it. It’s always nice when a Democrat finds themselves between a rock and a hard place.
