Six Senate Democrats filed a lawsuit against the National Archives and Records Administration on Monday to obtain records from Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s time working for the Bush administration, according to a Buzzfeed News report.
Sens. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), Patrick Leahy (D-VT), Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), Mazie Hirono (D-HI), Cory Booker (D-NJ), and Kamala Harris (D-CA) are requesting immediate court action to get the documents as soon as possible.

Delay tactic. When Kennedy announced his retirement, they had already made up their minds to oppose ANYONE Trump nominated. NOTHING found in those documents will change their minds.

The committee only votes to present the nominee to the full Senate. It’s really only a formality.

No, it is a tactic to force the nomination until after the Nov elections in hopes the Rats will take the Senate and can force a more moderate nominee.
It seems to me that - as members of the World’s Greatest Deliberative Body - if you have to file a lawsuit, you have already lost. This goes for Republicans, too.
