Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley on Tuesday raised the possibility that next week’s high-stakes open hearing to examine the sexual assault allegation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh could be canceled if the accuser doesn’t accept the committee’s invitation.
Grassley, R-Iowa, scheduled a hearing for Monday for Kavanaugh and accuser Christine Blasey Ford to answer questions from senators about the allegation. But Grassley said during a Tuesday radio interview that his office has reached out several times to Ford and her attorneys to discuss her allegation, but has heard nothing back.

Dems plan to have Kavanaugh dance to THEIR tune. They’ll wait till the last minute, then demand more time. Grassley needs to take this stunt in hand, and call for the vote Thursday. If democrats don’t want to participate, then the republican committee vote will stand. Flake better get his rear in gear, and Grassley and McConnell need to see to it. This business of letting the minority party run the show, needs to STOP!
Yep. This isn’t about Kavanaugh. It’s about the democrats. It’s about the Repubilcans on the committee. It’s about the MSM. And it is about the intelligence of the american voter.
That last one will be tested in November.This should utterly destroy the democrats - in a sane world. If the R’s don’t cave, we’ll know how sane this world is in November.

Agree. Flake needs to STFU because he is part of the problem and not part of the solution. He wants to hurt President Trump but instead is hurting the whole country.
I hope they DO stick with this.

I really don’t think the democrats CARE what we think. If they were given that option, they’d GLADLY take it. Getting Kavanaugh off the Appeals court AND the SC would be a great big twofer for them. It’s not as if they have any shame, or anything. They are NOT going to play fair, honorable, and honest. It’s manifestly IMPOSSIBLE for them to do so, and they wouldn’t do, even if they could.
So basically, Grassley called the Dems bluff on this phony charge.
There is absolutely NO WAY that under any terms of “fair Play” that Diane Fienstein should have ANY VOICE in this process AT ALL as a Senator of this committee.
She is a tainted witness in the process to smear BK. She should not be allowed to be on the committee during anything related to the BK nomination.
The Committee should immediately vote to force her recusal on the matter. She did not act in an honest manner in either personal or public questioning of Kavanaugh.
