"she walked into the wrong apartment and shot and killed the man inside"Wow! That's a lot to go wrong all at one time.
Did she call the cops?

I remember reading in one of Mossad Ayoob’s books that he trusted his young kid (at the time he wrote his book) more with firearms than he did a good number of police officers he knew.

To make sense, he must have left his apartment door unlocked, and she must have left her’s unlocked too. Some people trust the exterior door to keep people out.

How do you walk into the wrong apartment as a police officer thinking you live there? Also sorry but a police officer is not a job for a woman.

Reminds of the two female pilots who couldn’t get their plane to come up to speed or altitude. I forgot how far they flew before they figured out the landing gear was still down.

A result of hiring unqualified people.
Departments are finding it difficult now to attract good people due to the widespread ant-cop attitude in society.

Going into the wrong apartment is no excuse. Same as when police bust into the “wrong” house at 4 AM and shoot the old man in bed when he reaches for his glasses to see what the f*ck is going on.
Mistake is no excuse.
Being a cop gives no immunity.

Better safe than sorry. Shoot first and ask questions later. There still could have been a danger to the officer if the resident was going for a gun. May have been self defense in that case.
What else would a boot licker come up with?
