Veteran Republican operative Roger Stone predicts special counsel Robert Mueller will soon indict Donald Trump Jr. on a process crime.
Following the indictments of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and longtime Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, the Office of the Special Counsel is now reportedly zeroing in on Trump Jr., whom Stone alleges will imminently face charges for making false statements to Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents.
“The special counsel is going to charge Donald Trump Jr. with lying to the FBI. Notice they’re not charging him for having an illegal meeting with a Russian at Trump Tower because there’s nothing illegal about that meeting,” Stone told James Miller of The Political Insider. “[P]ut more precisely, the only thing illegal about that meeting was how the woman got in the country, how she got a visa from the Obama State Department, and why she was meeting with an official from Fusion GPS before and after the Trump Tower meeting.”

So they may indict a sitting President over nothing.Because apparently everyone who sat in the Oval Office never did anything wrong to get there.
What wishful thinking,Special Counsel Mueller will probably come up with something else if he comes up with anything.
It would have to be major to risk impeachment.

A federal indictment would quickly be undone with a Pardon.
I’m not skeptical at all the Mueller will go for processes and technicalities when an actual crime is absent.
Stone is quite right on this.
The way to get to the father, if by no other means, is by the son.
However, that just might bring the father to take action.. and fire them all... and bring charges to mueller and the whole gang. Find a lawyer who will call a spade a spade and go after every stinkin one of them.
They have overstepped their bounds a long time ago.. and the only thing that has let it go on, is the wink and nod from congress and sessions’s pitiful depts . ..No one knows how to fight.. the gop are not used to this. But bring in the son with what mule has done to the rest of his charges.. and I dont think Donald Trump father will stand for it.

If (Gestapo) Mueller https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heinrich_M%C3%BCller_(Gestapo) decides to indict DJT, Jr., he’s going to have his hands full. First of all, the Trump family is not exactly known as being a bunch of wilting flowers - they fight for their interests with great fury. Second, trying to put one in prison? You really have to be kidding me...I’d just about rather fight 2 tigers while stark naked and covered with bacon grease, than try that one.
Oh, BTW, the set-up that led to the alleged “process crime” will figure prominently in the trial - because DJT, Jr.’s lawyers will bring it up as part of the defense, so that the jury “understands the entire case, not just one narrow aspect.”
It is also my belief that if (Gestapo) Mueller tries this, it’ll backfire on him and the Dems like nothing before ever has (save that minor little Ft. Sumter incident). Sympathy for DJT, Jr. and his family will skyrocket, and translate directly into support for POTUS and revulsion for the dirty politics of the Dems and their Deep State apparachniks.
FYI, I also don’t see a jury convicting DJT, Jr. The meeting itself was of so little importance that anyone would forget little details (that’s what a process crime is based on - forgetting details and telling 2 slightly different stories), let alone someone so incredibly busy with work, the campaign and his family as DJT, Jr.
Go ahead, (Gestapo) Mueller, indict DJT, Jr. But be prepared for the pushback, it’ll be one for the history books.
If he actually does what Stone suggests, it will be the last official action he ever takes.

I didn’t say it would be done. I said it should. The Justice Dept is an extension of the deep state. Everything is.

Mueller friendly judge will not all allow anything in evidence outside of the narrow charge. If Mueller indicts Jr., his only way out is a pardon.
These type of statements are why Stone is in Muellers crosshairs. I don’t believe he had any access to Assange anymore than this is true, but he throws himself into stuff for the publicity
1. There would be no avenue for a plea bargain. He would have to go through the whole song and dance of a criminal prosecution, even while knowing full well that the defendant is going to get a presidential pardon -- probably 30 seconds after the closing arguments are made. Donald Trump is the kind of guy who would actually let the whole thing play out this way just to make a spectacle of it.
2. President Trump has the legal authority to declassify a boatload of documents related to Mueller's investigation, and then immediately hand them over to the defense attorneys in the case. Half of the FBI, CIA, NSA and Mueller's own team would be called as witnesses for the defense.
I don't see any way this happens, folks.
