RUSH: To the audio sound bites. Trump last night in Charleston, West Virginia. Trump is an amazing figure in a lot of ways. But as Drudge headlined in the Drudge Report yesterday it was hell hour for Trump, hell afternoon. The media talking about the darkest days of Trumps presidency, could the end be near? And everybody was thinking, Oh, my God. This is it. Theyre finally gonna get rid of Trump.
And Trump is not staying in the White House sulking or getting mad. He went out to a previously scheduled campaign rally in West Virginia, he gets off Air Force One in Charleston on his way to the rally speaking with reporters about the verdict in the Manafort trial.
Trump holds 'MAGA' rally in West Virginia (Entire video)
THE PRESIDENT: It doesnt involve me but I still feel, you know, its a very sad thing that happened. This has nothing to do with Russian collusion. This started as Russian collusion. This has absolutely nothing to do this is a witch hunt, and its a disgrace. This has nothing to do what they started out looking for Russians involved in our campaign; there were none. This is the way it ends up. And it was not the original mission, believe me. It was something very much different. So it had nothing to with Russian collusion. We continue the witch hunt.
RUSH: He talks to em and he takes all questions. And he fires right back at em and tells em they dont know what theyre talking about. Up next we now go to the rally and the crowd ate this up. This is Trump slamming the National Football League and firing up the crowd.
THE PRESIDENT: The people of West Virginia, theyre loyal, theyre hardworking, theyre true American patriots. Remember that. (cheers) They are great, they are great people. And, my friends, thank you very much. I love you too. Guy, its a guy, but I love you too. Youre proud of our country, youre proud of our history, and unlike the NFL, you always honor and cherish our great American flag.
RUSH: Right on, right on, right on! Unlike the NFL. (laughing) The poor NFL is sitting there struggling, What do we do? How do we get out of this? And then Trump just the keeps piling on em. And next up he had some comments about ESPN and the NFL.
THE PRESIDENT: It was just announced by ESPN that rather than defending our anthem, our beautiful, beautiful national anthem, and defending our flag, theyve decided that they just wont broadcast when they play the national anthem. (crowd booing) We dont like that. So while the players are kneeling some of them; not all of them at all youre all proudly standing for our national anthem. Thank you. (cheers) The ESPN thing was terrible.
RUSH: The ESPN thing was terrible. Now, that crowd at that rally in West Virginia, Im gonna tell you, folks, do not doubt me on this. The swamp watches that, the media watches it, and they have two thoughts that go through their mind. The first one is, they cant believe it! They think they destroyed Trump yesterday! They cant believe that Trump is out having a good time after that happened! And they cant believe that so many people showed up still willing to support Trump, to applaud Trump, to cheer Trump. It just grates on them!
But then the second thing they realize is, we dont care. Its just a bunch of chumps from West Virginia. It doesnt matter. Theyre Trump supporters anyway. Screw it. But I guarantee you these people are reliving Watergate. Theyre trying to recreate it. And in Watergate, they did have the country aligned and unified against Nixon. They did. It was very easy back then. They owned everything. Every media outlet they owned. ABC, CBS, NBC.
There was no CNN back then, either. The New York Times, the Washington Post, they owned it, folks. They were able to dictate and create public opinion. And they succeeded in driving Nixons numbers down to the point that he had to resign rather than face impeachment. Theyve been trying to do that with Trump since he was elected. They havent been able to do it. Trumps approval numbers are still hovering around 50. Believe me, that grates on em. They cant believe it. It ticks em off. And seeing these rallies ticks them off.
But at the end theyll still end up in denial by saying, Its just a bunch of chumps in West Virginia who dont know whats going on. So I would take the occasion here of repeating something from yesterday. I was reading a sports website and the comments to a column on that website about kneeling during the anthem and protesting it and so forth. And a reader had an idea.
And here is the idea. What if before the national anthem at every game, the stadium observed a moment of silence for social injustice. The PA announcer could read something like this: Ladies and gentlemen, the National Football League and the home team, whatever it is, strongly believe in equality and social justice. And as Americans and as human beings, we should all strive to be kind to each other, and we should all treat each other with dignity and respect regardless of race, color, gender, creed, religion, or sexual orientation while in this stadium today and after we leave and go about our lives. We will now observe a moment of silence to reflect on those who have suffered injustice in our society. Thank you.
And then during this moment of silence for social injustice and its legion of victims, players would be free to kneel, to stand, to raise a fist, to lock arms, whatever they wanted to do in protest. But when it was over, the anthem would play, and the players could not kneel. And we had a young Millennial call here yesterday that thought this was a brilliant idea. I first thought it was a seminar caller. And as I kept probing, I kept investigating, I came to realize and understand the caller actually thought it was a great idea. Which Im also gonna be honest and tell you that it really stunk.
The scheduling of the rally turned out to be perfect.
President Trump is setting aside 40 days before the November election to hold rallies for republican candidate considered at risk. When the swamp sees overflowing crowds at each of those events, they are going to call their psychiatrist for help. I can just see it even though I am no clairvoyant!!
Dear Deep State:
You know all those guns you are always trying to take away? They belong to the people who attend those rallys. Theyre great shots too because they hunt all the time. They are also the mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, sons and daughters of those other great shots you know about, you know, all the ones who dress alike.
This is OUR country and we will fight for it. Stop now, while you can.
Love your quotes.
I hope Trumps rallies catch on and future presidents continue the practice and take the aggressive stance and promote their agenda. Not hunker down in the White House. Get out there! The best defense is a good offense.
...it RUSSIA COLLUSION!
I am certain every rally Trump holds before this election will be as overflowing, as enthusiastic, as full of energy as all his previous rallies.
But I must warn you, after Trump is gone, there is no other politician, repub or dem, capable of attracting crowds like Trump has. No president before has broken Trumps record crowds record, not even close when you add up number of rallies held so far X people attended. And no one in our lifetime will break it in future. Trump is that unique.
Yes, but, here is the problem. What they forget is the times and the frustration. Nixon promised to get us out of Vietnam and then the war dragged on for 4 more years. And we had inflation and price controls and the beginnings of the gas crisis that Carter then bungled. Remember the "can't afford steak any more. Well eat cheese [forgetting that cheese was also expensive an rising in price."
And then we saw Haldeman and Ehrlichman on the television and realize that we had our own real-life paranoid Nazis in the WH and at that point Nixon was a gonner.
None of that applies in the present circumstance. We are headed in the right direction, deregulating and with a growing economy [and the connection between the two is obvious], a responsible approach to trade policy, and we haven't started any wars to go try to fix some other part of the world and turn it into an American style democratic heaven on earth. Not bad. Not bad at all.
and we now have the internet taking away the information monopoly that the MSM once enjoyed ...
Go back thirty years and we felt the exact same way about Ronald Reagan. There will never be another Reagan, never be another Trump; but God in his Providence will see to it that the man we DO need, will be there.
Keep the faith.
This is going to backfire for the Dems. I mean, us Trump Supporters will fight the Globalists, and we are going to win, or we’ll die trying. The CW2, will be starting soon..quicker if Trump will be ‘impeached’.
bttt
Not CW2, but the 2nd American Revolution.
Trump is unique and I wonder who comes next.
But I never saw Trump coming! So who knows.
Please tell me he wasn’t buddying up to the man who co authored the most anti 2A legislation, Obamas dear friend Manchin. I lived in wv when he wrote it and was shocked that he was easily re elected. Can’t fix stupid.
Well said, sir.

I saw Trump coming 10 years before he declared he was running for president. I saw on Golf Channel a video of him chairing a meeting of about 100 managers working at his golf resorts all over the world.
Take it from me, there is not a politician alive or dead, including Ronald Reagan, who can attract 10,000 people to 100+ rallies and keep them eating out of his hand for 2 hours, go away wildly energized. I am speaking from first hand experience having attended one of his rallies.
Only other politician who could do something similar was Jawaharlal Nehru of India, but he never had the energy of means to hold 100+ rallies. I am talking about leaders who were not mass murderers like Hitler.
