MILWAUKEE A new Marquette Law School Poll of Wisconsin voters finds a tight race for governor following last weeks statewide primary elections. Among likely voters (that is, those who say they are certain to vote), incumbent Republican Scott Walker receives 46 percent, Democrat Tony Evers receives 46 percent and Libertarian Phil Anderson 6 percent. Only 2 percent say they lack a preference or do not lean to a candidate.
Among likely voters in the race for the Wisconsin U.S. Senate seat on the ballot in November, 49 percent support the incumbent, Democrat Tammy Baldwin, and 47 percent support Republican Leah Vukmir, while 3 percent say they lack a preference or do not lean toward a candidate.
Among all registered voters surveyed in the poll, the race for governor remains tight, with Walker at 46 percent, Evers at 44 percent and Anderson with 7 percent.
There is a wider margin among all registered voters in the Senate race, with Baldwin receiving 51 percent and Vukmir 43 percent.
Awareness of Evers and Vukmir has increased among registered voters since the last Marquette Law School Poll in July. Forty-six percent lack an opinion of Evers, down from 60 percent in July. For Vukmir, 48 percent lack an opinion now, compared to 66 percent in July.
Among likely voters only, 35 percent lack an opinion of Evers and 41 percent lack an opinion of Vukmir.
Evers is viewed favorably among 38 percent of likely voters and unfavorably by 27 percent. Among all registered voters 31 percent have a favorable view and 23 percent an unfavorable opinion.

LMAO! What are you, a speechwriter for Jeb Bush?
“Wow a lot of you on here are really negative nellies. Walker was supposed to be in big trouble now hes tied. You have a good chance of beating the incumbent Democrat senator in a liberal state. And youre all complaining about the voters being jerks?”
Agreed. Baldwin under 50 percent with no significant lead. That is a incumbent in trouble.
Lol...Baldwin was supposed to be in their safe column-if this leftnut loses Wis all bets are off it will be a red wave!
Plus the Marquette poll usually leans left
There will be long caravans of yellow school buses going to Milwaukee from Chicago with extra “voters”.
I can live with the Churchill treatment of Walker as long as Baldwin gets the same. The Senate is where the action is.
Yeah im sure Walker will have a hard time NOT! This is leftist wishful thinking. Another poll showed Republicans in good shape with 5 point edge.
“Please clap.”
Baldwin’s running ads that ties her to Trump as far as the trade deals that’s how desperate she is.
I the 2016 presidential race they had Clinton up 46-36 in August . Walker and Vukmir are in good shape considering this poll’s built in bias
Oh sure, the polls are tight when Likely voters are polled. /s
I’m sure Baldwin appreciates Johnson’s high profile campaign to undermine POTUS on trade. That will no doubt do wonders for GOP turnout in WI.
PINGING MY TWO EXPERTS!
*ping*
As I suspected, the WI Senate seat is very much in play, and Governor Walker needs to get us across the finish line.
November is not going to go as planned for the Dems.
Perhaps the polled Democrats fear being outed by the pollsters so they say they’re going to vote the party line.
Walker wins and I think Vukmir has a damn good chance
Marquette University- run by homos and pedophiles
It’s amazing isn’t it? Then they’ll be back to voting Republican in the next election.
“Marquette Law School Poll of Wisconsin voters...”
These are the same left wing propagandists who had Walker losing the last gubernatorial race by 5 to 7 points.
One example of their stupid polls:
A new Marquette Law School Poll (Nov, 2, 2016) finds 46 percent of Wisconsin likely voters supporting Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton and 40 percent supporting Republican Donald Trump in the race for president.
