In the latest episode of “Banished!” by the People’s Republic of California, Governor Jerry Brown is likely to sign a bill that prohibits restaurants from offering anything other than milk or water with their kids’ meals, under the pretense of preventing obesity.
Effectively they’re telling parents they’re not capable of being trusted with their children’s health. It’s Big Brother Knows Best vs. mom and dad.
They want to control what little Johnny and Susie drink with their kids’ meal. If restaurants don’t play along they could be fined up to $500. So now California isn’t just the nanny state, it’s also the bully state.

I drink far more pop than my adult kids do, and for me, a case of 12 cans will last for a month or two.
But I would never feed my kids the chemical cocktail diet drinks.
That said, if some legislative idiot tries to tell me what my kid can drink, I’m coming in with a full size big gulp.

And if a parent really wants their kid to have a soda, they could just order them a regular meal instead of a kids meal. What Libs really need to do is fine parents who attempt to give their kids sodas at all. That’ll fix everything.

I would bet that fool never saw a cow up close.
I’m always amused by the “low flush” toilets they keep pushing. Soon they will tell us that we can’t flush them more than once, even though they take numerous flushes to effectively evacuate the bowl.
My large Texas city did sponsor a low-volume toilet give-away. I took the bait. Sorry I did. These toilets are jokes.
