Well, he wasn’t literally calling her a dog - he was referring to her lack of capability as an employee. If you look the word up, the way he used it, the definition is “a thing of poor quality; a failure” which is 100% correct in her case.

Can’t disagree with anything you wrote. I’ve been a little scared at some of his decisions and comments, only to be surprised later on.
As for her. I’m thinking she was brought on for optics, more than anything else, and she was probably blowing up his phone, begging for a job. Something she could never admit to. She’s was too arrogant for that. So, being who she is, her true colors had to come out. If what Gen Kelly said about her is true, God forbid she look at herself in the mirror and admit to messing up. Nope. It’s, Hell Hath No Fury. Well, she better be careful what she wishes for because it could all blow up in her face, as it appears to be doing.
As for him picking Dem’s, again, you’re right. But, IMHO he might have convinced himself that these folks, once they’re working for him, will realize it’s about the people and not the Party and the Swamp. I think the problem he has is, the talent pool is very, very, very shallow. A lot shallower than any of us can imagine. Throw on that, people like Bolton, Ivanka and a few others, whispering in his ears. It can’t be easy.

Reminds me of the Morning Joe and Mika thing. He apparently thought they were friends. There's footage of him appearing on their show, and Mika flirting with him, helping to arrange his hair, etc. Then when he starts to gain traction in the race for POTUS, they are calling him vile names and ridiculing him. Next thing you know, he tweets about them visiting him at Mar a Lago right after Mika had plastic surgery and she was all bandaged. Mika and Joe were outraged that he humiliated them like that. That's what sometimes happen when people betray Trump.
