Its the supermarket showdown that weve all been waiting for: grocery shoppers versus pets in shopping carts....
Publix Supermarkets Inc. appeared to set up this battle royale when over the weekend various news outlets reported the venerable chain was finally laying down the law with regard to service animals in their stores.
Publix has posted new warnings signs at store entrances and exits telling customers which service animals are permitted in the store and where they can be.
For food safety reasons, only service animals that are specifically trained to aid a person with disabilities are permitted within the store.
Service animals are not permitted to sit or ride in shopping carts.
Thank you for your help!

I called 2 ladies out on their fake service dogs one time when they started playing with each other. They almost fainted. This was in a lobby of a psych office where they were being treated for emotional trauma.
Remove the word food and you’re correct. I’m sick of people expecting me to worry about my allergies kicking up because they want to bring their stupid pet everywhere with them. Train the animal to stay at home or get rid of it.
My sister in law, God love her, knows every way to game the system. She just wants to bring her dog with her everywhere so she had her doctor write a note saying she needed her dog with her.
She would make a scammer blush.
I noticed our neighborhood Walmart grocery store recently posted signs saying no animals in shopping carts.
My mom left us in the car with the windows rolled down while she shopped. Different times back then.
I put hand sanitizer on the seat of the shopping cart I get then wipe it with tissues-I’m not about to put anything where some kid’s diaper/butt has been-but if the service animal isn’t a dog on a leash walking beside their master, it doesn’t belong in the store at all...
“I thought they ate cats. Koreans eat dogs”
Mao ate puppies for breakfast... really.
Many cultures eat dog. Chow were bred for food, hence the term Chow or Chow down. I’ve been all over the western pacific and SE Asia, dog meat is quite common.
We have a Chinese Restaurant chain here:
Chow Time...................
Once again we have good Freepers bashing and complaining about dogs.
I suggest that those against dogs in stores RUN AND HIDE the next time you see a Chihuahua riding in a shopping cart. Or maybe you could just look away and let dog lovers love their dogs.
99% of ‘service animals’ are fake.
Youre behind the times. They are just undocumented.
What you do in your bedroom is your own business.
In some states.
What is wrong with our culture. Every veteran is claiming PTSD and everyone else needs some kind of coping animal. Properly interacting with, supporting, and being supported by other humans is what we were created to do.
That’s pretty funny.
I usually don’t like screamers, but his one is a real winner.
I am tired of dogs shedding on the fruits and veggies. It’s sick to see some dummy with their dog in restaurants and grocery stores.
I got news for you they do it here.
Still upset Southwest wouldn’t let me fly with my emotional support opossum.
There are dozens of horrible Zoonotic Diseases. Your doctor or vet would be happy to tell you all about them.
Or how about the Wisconsin man who just had four of his limbs amputated because a dog's bacteria infected him?:
Man has 4 limbs amputated after dog lick leads to severe infection, report says
Dogs and other animals do not belong where food for human consumption is stored, handled, or prepared. What someone does in their own kitchen is their business. But in a public space it's a different story.
If citizens of citizens and Europe try really hard they can evolve into the superior realm of Americans in a few thousand years.
Meanwhile keep your traffic circles and gay looking men’s clothes back. And take care of our children, dummies.
This is America and we are better than you.
