A Texas waiter has admitted making up a racist note calling him a 'terrorist' that he claimed was left on a check.
Khalil Cavil, 20, claimed he was stiffed out of a tip on a $108 bill at the Saltgrass Steak House in Odessa, Texas over the weekend after the customer wrote on his receipt: 'We don't tip terrorist.'
Now Cavill has admitted fabricating the episode, which resulted in the customer being barred from the establishment.
Cavil told local paper the Odessa American: 'I did write it. I dont have an explanation. I made a mistake. There is no excuse for what I did.'

Full Title: Waiter admits he MADE UP racist 'we don't tip terrorist' note on check that went viral: Server comes clean after investigation but refuses to offer an explanation
Add this to the ever growing number of fake/false accusations of racism. Funny how the U.S. media will report that a racist act has occurred, but will not report that the act was fake.

Sometimes young people lie and do stupid things. This little caper to get pity (and maybe a little cash) quickly grew out of his control. He greatly underestimated the gullibility of his liberal pals. The story satisfied a narrative to a T.

I’ll bet his former boss at the restaurant could just strangle that kid. By the time the deception was confirmed, the restaurant had already fallen into the trap, and made complete fools of themselves, by ‘barring’ the accused customer from ever returning.
How do they think that customer felt being dragged through the mud like that?

'The customer has been contacted and invited back to our restaurant to dine on us. Racism of any form is intolerable, and we will always act swiftly should it occur in any of our establishments. Falsely accusing someone of racism is equaling disturbing.' If I were the customer, I'd be telling them to sit and spin, and to be expecting a letter from my attorney in my upcoming lawsuit for slander/libel. Maybe next time, a company will look at the track record for these types of incidents, and do a little more digging, before immediately jumping to a potentially business-killing decision.

ah the old I made a mistake excuse that lefties always seem to use.
His actions were intentional.

Should be a lawsuit against the restaurant and the ex waiter. The hoaxer should also have his admission to college withdrawn and he should spend the rest of his days collecting cans on skid row.

It looks like the customer was never named. There is no case for libel or slander. However the restaurant needs to give the guy free meals for life.

"...be expecting a letter from my attorney..."
Indeed! Absolutely agree.
This patron might also work for a leftwinger employer who might be in the midst of terminating his employment over this HOAX event. I know for sure it would threaten my job had that happened to me at Khalil Cavils hands.
The web on these kinds of false accusations can be tangled and deep. What an unfortunate experience for the innocent patron.
These damages are worth WAY more than a few free meals...as if the patron would ever wish to visit there again.

He should be in jail or kicked out of the country. Try this with me, and I get 1 free meal a week for life.

Khalil Cavil undoubtedly used the persons name when sharing the hoax with coworkers.
Restaurant employees can ascertain the name based on day/date/amount information. It is damaging to the patron.

"...free meals..."
Hey man, there is the KKK racist family that got Khalil fired last week! Spit and piss in their food!
The innocent patron would be wise to never return and let his attorney do the negotiating.

#9:
"looks exactly like a terrorist..." Could be a terrorist. With these people you never known when "sudden jihad" syndrome will strike. Actually, the nature of this scam was a form of mini-jihad. This punk definitely has potential to graduate to bigger schemes. Putting him on the watch list is definitely in order.
