Sorry vox. That may not be the way it works in a democracy, so it's a good thing that is NOT what we have in the US.

It’s also quite possible that without voter fraud, Trump also actually won the popular vote.
But that’s a story for another day.. .

He means: Trump won because each State’s electors followed the will of their people

The New England Patriots only won Super Bowl LI because they scored more points than did the Atlanta Falcons.

That’s like saying that the Philadelphia Eagles only won the Superbowl because they scored more touchdowns
in spite of the fact there were more Patriots fans in the stadium.

Well there’s Hillary’s answer: she only lost because of the electoral college. Problem solved. Time to get past it now.

I love it when people who say the rules suck, but do little to fix them.
If one does not like the Electoral College, change the Constitution. Its that easy. Well, its not easy telling all of the states between the Appalachian and Rocky Mountains they will no longer have a say. But try it anyway.

It is not a DEMOCRACY, damn it....
The USA is a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC, damn it...
That is why DJT became the President, because we are a CR.
If the USA were a D, HC would be the president.
Show me where the word “democracy” appears in the Constitution or the Bill of Rights. A “democrcy” is what the Liberals/Progressives want the country to be.

In the 1960 World Series, the Yankees outscored the Pirates by better than two to one.
The Pirates won, 4 games to 3.

The Democrats lost an election, which, frankly, they should have been able to win”
I wish the President would stop talking like this. He makes it sound like the will of the people is on the Dems side and that he’s shocked he won!

Getting rid of the electoral college is crucial to the Democrats voter fraud scheme since so many illegals are concentrated in few states.

I received email subject "39 second must read" the other day, simplified but effective:
People need to be aware of the reason behind this important feature of our Founding Fathers insight!!!! With infinite wisdom, the United States Founders created the Electoral College to ensure the STATES were fairly represented. Why should one or two densely populated areas speak for the whole of the nation? The following list of statistics has been making the rounds on the Internet. It should finally put an end to the argument as to why the Electoral College makes sense. Do share this. It needs to be widely known and understood.
There are 3,141 counties in the United States.
Trump won 3,084 of them.
Clinton won 57.
There are 62 counties in New York State.
Trump won 46 of them.
Clinton won 16.
Clinton won the popular vote by approx. 1.5 million votes.
In the 5 counties that encompass NYC, (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Richmond & Queens) Clinton received well over 2 million more votes than Trump. (Clinton only won 4 of these counties; Trump won Richmond)
Therefore these 5 counties alone, more than accounted for Clinton winning the popular vote of the entire country.
These 5 counties comprise 319 square miles.
The United States is comprised of 3,797,000 square miles.
When you have a country that encompasses almost 4 million square miles of territory, it would be ludicrous to even suggest that the vote of those who inhabit a mere 319 square miles should dictate the outcome of a national election.
Large, densely populated Democrat cities (NYC, Chicago, LA, etc.) DO NOT and SHOULD NOT speak for the rest of our country!
And...it's been verified and documented that those aforementioned 319 square miles are where the majority of our nations problems foment
Well worth the 39 seconds to read? Now please pass it!

We have a Republic if we can keep it, as the founders intended.
Not a pure democracy, which would be a disaster. If the left wants a pure democracy, they will never get it without a Civil War. Let them water the tree of liberty. That’s the response they need to receive from America.
Also the votes from the various sanctuary cities where the popular vote went to the criminal bitch who was exposed in her crimes, were likely from non citizens and illegals who have drivers licenses.
Like everything else about crooked Hillary, the fix was in, she is nothing but a racketeer as were the majority of the Dem leadership.
Without a Republic we would have a bunch of racketeers, in fact a criminal syndicate, of liberal fascists leading the country. The Republic actually saved America from them, as the founders had intended.
God bless the Free Republic of the United States of America!

When you are playing Pinochle, you don't use Poker rules. Trump ran the campaign for electors, as per the rules. Mrs. Clinton ran it for collecting money and rolling up a big vote total in states she already had, like California.
To use Pinochle lingo, she wasted her trumps on low-count tricks. The president knows how to play Trumps.

Trump only won the presidential election in 2016 because of the Electoral College.
That is correct.
As did Obama before him Bush before Obama Clinton before Bush and so on and son.
We elect a President ever 4 years We do not hold a beauty contest or a popularity contest. No harder to understand then that!
