Show me where the word “democracy” appears in the Constitution or the Bill of Rights. A “democrcy” is what the Liberals/Progressives want the country to be.
Yup! How did we ever let the narrative be “democracy” when it is NOT at all. Irritates the crap out of me every time I here it or see it. And, no amount of arguing will cause a lib to admit the fact.
The Framers thoroughly understood that democracy was an AWFUL system for running a government, doomed to certain failure. They gave us one nod toward democracy — popular election of House members — and that was all.
Then we allowed the Progressives to screw everything up with the 17th Amendment, giving the Senate over to the popular vote instead of serving their home states exclusively. We need to repeal the 17th.
