Twenty-seven conservative leaders signed a statement in support of Lee, including Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., Rep. Mia Love, R-Utah, Conservative Partnership Institute Chairman Jim DeMint, and FreedomWorks President Adam Brandon.
Sen. Lee has a proven record of standing up for principle, for doing the right thing for the right reasons, even in the face of withering criticism, the letter states. And thats what this nominee is in for.
The statement warns the confirmation battle to replace Kennedy is likely to be the roughest fight Washington has seen in decades, and notes that a Supreme Court with a conservative majority will make decisions that invite a host of criticism.
This is not an assignment for the faint of heart. We need a Supreme Court justice who is not only wise and principled, but brave, the conservatives continued in their letter. Mike Lee is one candidate on the presidents list who has proven to be all three.

Yes, yes and yes.
Ping for later.
Levin will do anything and endorse anyone to try to keep the border open and bring about amnesty. He id a Chamber Of Amnesty stooge.
When I seen the pic of Cruz and Lee, then the mention of Mia Love (I live in her district) I knew then that none of the above mentioned are ‘Conservatives’ but RINO’s...
I suspect something unexpected here. What if President Trump has already made his decision, and they are positioning Mike Lee (or his brother) for the *next* opening on the court?
The odds are high that one or two vacancies could be ready soon. Ruth Bader Ginsburg is 85. Stephen Breyer is 80.
They do realize we need his vote to confirm, right, and we have no votes to spare?
I agree with what they say about Senator Lee, but there are several excellent candidates and we need Lee in the Senate.
Mia probably has her eye on Lee’s Senate seat.
Mormons and Deep State traitors are not “conservative leaders.” No one is fooled by this, and NeverTrump assclown Mark Levin has zero credibility after his 2016 antics
Better yet, chose his brother Utah’s Supreme Court ASS. Chief Justice Thomas R Lee. Clerked for Clarence Thomas, both are sons of Rex Lee, President Reagan’s SOl. GEN. Impressive resume. Not a YALE OR HARVARD GRAD either.
As long as President Trump chooses another like his last we will be happy I think.
Leaves Mike and Cruz in senate.
Thomas R. Lee was appointed to the Utah Supreme Court by Governor Gary Herbert in July 2010. He currently serves as Associate Chief Justice and as a member of the Utah Judicial Council. He also chaired the Supreme Court’s Advisory Committee on Professionalism and Civility during a time in which the court promulgated Standards of Professionalism and Civility for judges in Utah. Justice Lee is a graduate, with high honors, of the University of Chicago Law School. After law school, he served as a law clerk for Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson, III, of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and then for Justice Clarence Thomas of the United States Supreme Court. Justice Lee then joined the law firm now known as Parr, Brown, Gee & Loveless, where he became a shareholder. Prior to his appointment to the bench, Justice Lee was a full-time professor at the law school at Brigham Young University, where he continues to serve as Distinguished Lecturer. During his years as a full-time law professor, he maintained a part-time intellectual property litigation practice with Howard, Phillips, & Andersen. He also developed a part-time appellate practice, arguing numerous cases in federal courts throughout the country and in the United States Supreme Court. In 2004 - 05, Justice Lee served as Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice.
And they backed Cruz for president, too, who would have surely lost. Get over it, RINOs.
Thanks for the Ping. I agree. Mia Love has been SUCH a disappointment. I even contributed to her campaign; a RARE thing for me to do!
