A 92-year-old woman shot her son to death over his plan to move her into an Arizona retirement home, authorities said Tuesday.
The elderly mother faced off with her 72-year-old son at his Fountain Hills home, pulled a pistol from her bathrobe and blasted him around 10 a.m. Monday, according to the Maricopa County Sheriffs Office.
Anna Mae Blessing told cops she had been stewing for days over her son's decision to kick her out and "believed he ruined" her life.
You ended my life, so Im taking yours, Blessing allegedly said during her arrest

May he burn in hell for treating his mother poorly - just to take her house and live there with his girlfriend. You really think that was good cause for murdering her son?

Not necessarily. I help take care of my elderly mom and my dad, too, until he passed. My brother and his wife help. My youngest sibling who only lives 2 miles away never came around or even called, except to find out what Dads Will said. Not Christmas, Thanksgiving Mothers Day or birthdays. Not one phone call.

people always seem to equate elderly as sweet, wise, lovely, interesting, etc...
actually, many are none of those things...if they were a bitchy bitty at age 40, growing old just makes them worse...
I hope this old creep enjoys her jail time...

My point is that I have seen normal old people turn in to nasty fowl mouthed monsters overnight when put on a new medication.

Seriously? She was 92 and obviously crazy. It sounds like he tried to do his best. Cannot believe you are blaming him. HE’S DEAD.

I am shocked at the flippant comments on this thread. I am embarrassed and ashamed to be here. A man is dead. She shot him in HIS house. He was 72 years old. Maybe he took care of her his whole life. I am in a state of disbelief here.

I took care of my dad until he was 91. Then he fell, and broke his hip. He also needed to have diapers because of his incontinence. I was raising my grand kids at this time, and he became impossible to handle. I hated putting him into a nursing home. My dad wanted me to kill him, and he was miserable for the rest of his life. He died when he made it to 92 years old. My dad was a Christian, and wouldn't hurt a fly, I miss him so much.

Really easy to SAY...unless you have an elderly parent with dementia that you are taking care of 24/7! Been there, done that. Mom did it for me, then it was my time to do for her...diapers and all. It's part of being a family. Of course, I was only in my late 50s. Doubt if I could do it today in my mid 70s.

It might’ve been safer for him to move into a home and let her take care of herself.
