A 92-year-old woman shot her son to death over his plan to move her into an Arizona retirement home, authorities said Tuesday.
The elderly mother faced off with her 72-year-old son at his Fountain Hills home, pulled a pistol from her bathrobe and blasted him around 10 a.m. Monday, according to the Maricopa County Sheriffs Office.
Anna Mae Blessing told cops she had been stewing for days over her son's decision to kick her out and "believed he ruined" her life.
You ended my life, so Im taking yours, Blessing allegedly said during her arrest

May she rot in prison, then hell, for killing her son.

Let me tell you about old people, especially very old people. They don’t give a $hit about what the law would do to them. In this case the lady is 92, she knows she will never spend a day in prison and probably not even the inside of a court room.

Although she sounded very coherent and rational and the act was definitely premeditated I suppose it could have been the early stages of the disease.

Really easy to SAY...unless you have an elderly parent with dementia that you are taking care of 24/7!
Thank you. It means no life of your own and living with insanity all the time until you go nuts youself. Im just about to start having 1 day off a week because its just too hard as they decline.

I can’t comprehend mooching off someone like that, especially immediate family.
At times, I’ve been broke, no real place to live, and borderline suicidal but I found a way to pick up and keep going.

Maybe he wanted to put her in a nursing home because she can’t take care of herself any more? Sometimes, it is better for aged parents to have that extra level of care.

My parents are in good health and they have a few immediate family members and many friends.
I’m glad since I live a bit of distance from them.

And here’s is where feelings could easily run high about the situation, and descend into a blamefest.
