Judicial Watch's founder and conservative former federal prosecutor Larry Klayman supports Chicago Circuit Court Judge Amy Coney Barrett to fill a soon-to-be vacated Supreme Court seat but thinks Democrats are already trying to smear her.
Klayman said he likes that Barrett reportedly one of President Donald Trumps leading contenders for nomination is not a graduate of either Harvard or Yale law schools.
From what Ive read about her, I like Judge Barrett, Klayman said. She's obviously a woman. Thats good. Politically its going to be hard for the Democrats to have much objection to her. But theyre already trying to smear her over her Catholic faith.

Klayman said he likes that Barrett ... is not a graduate of either Harvard or Yale law schools.
He also blasted Dianne Feinstein for her criticism of Barrett in 2017 when she went before the Senate Judiciary Committee after she was appointed by Trump to the Court of Appeals. At the time, Feinstein questioned whether Barretts religion would have any impact on her rulings from the bench. Its a bigoted statement, he said. Its unbelievable that this would be raised by Dianne Feinstein. John F. Kennedy wouldnt have been president if people had opposed him on his Catholic faith.
Klayman also railed at lower courts that repeatedly knocked down Trumps travel ban.
The president has lost it nearly every lower court level. And he's won consistently in front of the Supreme Court
what it tells me is that youve got a lot of leftist hack judges at the lower court level.

Thanks a little elbow grease. I'll guess that the POTUS will let all the triple-A hit the ground and then announce a different selection -- but he'll probably have two more to appoint next year, after some probably highly successful midterms.
If their worst smear is “she’s a Catholic”, this could be entertaining.

Chicago? Oh hell to the NO NO NO. You don’t get anywhere in Chicago if you’re not some wacka doodle leftwinger on at least a few issues.
catholic from Chicago?? NOPE!
Next!
Save the woman’s seat for RBG that’s when you’re gonna need it politically.
Every liberal minority former student will be lying about her under oath:
"...I heard her in the cafeteria..."
"...i heard her in the ladies room...."
There will be no end to it. We won't see another judicial confirmation for months.
They only brought in one black woman to lie about Clarence Thomas and nearly torpedoed his nomination. This time the hallways will be full of them.
DemonRats lie for a living; it's what they do.
“She’s obviously a woman. Thats good.”
Excellent and profound statement.
“If their worst smear is shes a Catholic, this could be entertaining.”
IMO, I think the Rats are also obsessed with her having 7 children. Just sayin, no proof.

Amy Coney Barrett was born & raised in Louisiana. Barrett graduated from St. Mary's Dominican High School in New Orleans in 1990. In 1994, Barrett graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English literature from Rhodes College and besides graduating from law school at Notre Dame, has spent considerable time as a law professor at Notre Dame. That is in Indiana.
She is not from Chicago. She was appointed to the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit by Trump in 2017. Her bio is all over the web. Do some reading.
The Democrats are smearing everyone!
NWOSCOTUS.
The Democrats’ big issue is the abortion and legal-person-at-conception position. Feminism, women’s sexual liberation, the destruction of traditional family culture and fatherlessness have moved far away from that position over the past few decades.
That will draw some quieter criticism from most Republicans and their constituents, too. Abortions are very common among female university students—even Catholic ones (student health center stats in universities in Catholic communities in the 1980s). “We’ve come a long way, baby” (re. old TV advertisement using feminism as a hook).
There’s also Barrett’s written opinion on Catholic judges recusing themselves from death penalty cases.

You must be retarded. She’s from Louisiana. She went to law school at Notre Dame (in Indiana) and later served on the faculty there. She’s working in Chicago because she’s a Federal judge on the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals — whose jurisdiction includes Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin.
His reasoning is kind of shallow.
She’s a South Bend, Indiana, Notre Dame Gal. Probably a favorite for VP Pence.
Lighten Up.....she’s on the short list for either now or later.
Poor Schumer...Dems must be really p***** cuz if he hadn't filibustered Gorsuch, they'd still have the super majority card to play.
This has happened before IIRC re the CIA chief's controversial nomination. Even though she reluctantly agreed to go through the ordeal. Don't forget what the Senate and Joe Biden put Clarence Thomas through lo those many years ago. Racist Biden cut his senatorial teeth on Thomas. Just saying.
It's gotten a lot worse now and the new civil unrest is going to have a chilling effect on Trump nominees unless and until we see some pushback, which we haven't. Seriously. Am scheduled to work as a polling inspector for the Primary in August, and the General in November here in Florida, and thinking it's going to get pretty nasty at the voting booths.
I don’t understand why some of the geriatrics like Ginsburg are sticking in there. Anyone with half a brain could see there’s a very good chance that Trump will be re-elected - do they really hope to stick it out until 2024, and the hopes that a Democrat will be elected THEN who can pick their replacement? Ruth would be 91! Are their egos really THAT big?
