Republican Senator Susan Collins Says a Pro-Life Supreme Court Nominee is “Not Acceptable”

U.S. Sen. Susan Collins, a key swing vote for the next U.S. Supreme Court nominee, said she will not support a judge who opposes Roe v. Wade and abortion.

Collins, a pro-abortion Republican from Maine, told CNN on Sunday that she believes Roe v. Wade established abortion as a “constitutional right.”

“I would not support a nominee who demonstrated hostility to Roe v. Wade,” Collins said, “because that would mean to me that their judicial philosophy did not include a respect for established decisions, established law.”

Collins said this is unacceptable because it would “indicate an activist agenda,” the AP reports.

She also said she is not comfortable with all of the names on President Donald Trump’s short list of nominees.

Collins, a pro-abortion Republican from Maine...

pro-abortion = pro-murder.

If she doesn’t “approve” of Trump’s Supreme Court nominee because of this, let her go join the Democrats and spew her evil beliefs.

Like, um, Dred Scott?

Well, Dredd Scott was established law too. Anyone supporting abortion is obviously a racist. R.B. Ginsberg was asked a question on C Span a few years back. She replied that at the time, it was felt that certain groups should not procreate.

We know from studying the history of the movement that one of the main groups was “people of color”. Since Roe v Wade there has been a holocaust from the killing of babies-millions of black babies.

I’m done with being nice. Anyone supporting Roe v Wade and stating that it is established law is in favor of racism - like that of Dredd Scott and genocide-killing of babies of groups that shouldn’t procreate.

GOP Senators always used to say “The President should get whoever he wants” until the President was Trump.

Stare decisis should not override fealty to the Constitution — especially the tenth amendment as in the case of Roe v Wade

The Life News article has a link to contact Ms Collins. I wrote her a heartfelt message about “settled law”, the right of the people to vote on abortion and States vs Federal jurisdiction. I asked her to do her job & approve a qualified candidate rather than trying to force her political or ideological viewpoints on Americans.

I don’t fool myself that my letter will make a difference...but a flood of letters...

I know that Collins has a condition that affects her speaking ability and I don’t hold that against her. But something is wrong with her mind, IMHO, and is affecting the clarity of her thinking and I DO hold that against her. In many areas she is not representing the best interests of her state. That is unacceptable!

gawd when oh WHEN will the good citizens of Maine retire this communistic ideologue?

she’s not only embarrassing Maine, she embarrasses the entire US of A

she should, first off, keep her BM shut
before even knowing who the president will nominate

second, she should vote for whomever is well qualified, without imposing her Satanic blood-thirsty baby-murdering “political philosophy” on the rest of the country

the constitution does not include abortion mills, Susan, just in case you haven’t looked recently

It could also mean this liberal dimwit wouldn’t mind if a very very late term abortion was performed on her.
