A senior White House official says President Trump will push for the swift confirmation of a Supreme Court justice "before the midterm elections."
A list of well-established conservatives is in place, so a nomination is expected to come "within weeks," the official said.

Make it after the midterms. If the seat is still vacant in November then it might help bring the base out to vote for Senate candidates.

The way liberals have been acting up lately they need to be put on a homicide watch.
Or, in more common parlance, a terrorist watch list.

Ugh. How does that stop the lower courts from legislating immigration law from the bench? *NO ONE* has answered that question despite having posted it several times on different threads today. I would love to hear the answer.Ummmm...maybe because the question is germane to nothing being discussed. How does the retirement of Anthony Kennedy affect the lower courts ability to continue to obstruct the Trump agenda? It doesn't.

I read a post today saying (before we knew about Kennedy) that if Ginsberg retired and we got another conservative on the court, that it might make one of the other Leftist Justices so dispirited that they retire.
I wonder if Kennedy was simply tired to begin with, and having the hammer come down on the Travel Ban and the Janus decisions was enough to make him quit.
Unfortunately, I see Ginsberg as a bitter Leftist who is going to stay alive no matter what, just to be a thorn. She will probably live to 100, too.
But now that Kennedy is going to retire...:)
Let’s heap it on.

AWESOME! Get ready for riots. Kennedy is the squish on the Court. The Left is going to go completely mental at the thought of a 2nd Trump pick
Wait until RBG retires and he gets to nominate her replacement. They might all stroke out.

I hope Trump goes far right on this one, two reasons:
1. Roberts is poised to slip into Kennedy’s role as moderator.
2. I don’t know how long Thomas will hang in there.
On the other hand, Ginsberg should croak soon.

Now I wouldn’t be surprised if the Left starts harassing supreme Court Justices and the nominee when his or her name is announced.
