A senior White House official says President Trump will push for the swift confirmation of a Supreme Court justice "before the midterm elections."

A list of well-established conservatives is in place, so a nomination is expected to come "within weeks," the official said.

Weeks? Trump has a list. One would think he already knows who he wants to nominate now.

The timing is good and probably part of Kennedy's decision. Trump can make his pick in July, the pick can meet with senators in August for a vote by the end of September. All the marbles will be on the line and October can be either the victory tour for Trump while he campaigns.

Or October can be the month of outrage over Democrat obstructionism with a target on every Dem who voted against Trump. It's a win either way.

“That’s it, Get these senators on record and make this an election issue. Mitch, CAN YOU HEAR US NOW?”

He heard us in 2016. I was very happy what he did to Obama’s pick.

I trust President Trump to light a stick of conservative dynamite, and shove it far up the progressives’ collectivist butt.

Reminder: Dems Joe Manchin (WV), Heidi Heitkamp (ND) and Joe Donnelly (IN), voted for Gorsuch with arguably less at stake than several Dems have now.

Thanks, and what's the complete list of at risk Dim senators?

McCaskill (Mo), Manchin (WV), Tester (Mont), Heitkamp (ND), Donnelly IN), Nelson (FL), Baldwin WI), and maybe Casey of Penn. Maybe others.

6 senate seats in red states = a nice cushion of votes for the new SCOTUS justice.

Anyone with a law degree from Harvard Ivy League Colleges should be disqualified.

We need people from outside the Harvard Ivy League Colleges law degree mill.

First two first certain. Last two quite possibly. Question is will the 4-5 extremely at risk D senators cross over and vote yes.

With “Republicans” like Flake and McCain, it’s good to have some help from “moderate dems.”

If we had the ability to block subjects of new threads, even if I had to pay for it, this would be among my top 5.

Might the pope have been catholic a long time ago?

I urge a thread be started to formulate a bulletproof series of strategies to counterattack the opposition*

*Soros, millionaire imbeciles, the clintons, the GOPe, Hollywood, the entertainment industry generally, the fake news MSM, the TV networks, La Raza, MS-13 lovers, the LGBTWXYZQWERTY pervert community, snowflakes, Justice warriors, AntiFarts, Gibesmedats, the SPLC, Academia, Unions, Low IQ Democratics, etc,

Yep, Flake and McCain hate Trump and they hate his immigration polices, but maybe that won't cause them to muck up the SCOTUS replacement. I think they both supported Gorsuch.

Do you know if any Republican voted against Gorsuch? I don't recall.

WE had a feeling this was coming. God forbid we will not have a murdered Justice like Scalia. The Dems are evil and will do everything to tilt it their way.

Mitch can gauge support from Rinos and may ultimately defer vote to after mid terms assuming R’s pick up seats......

Even though Kennedy was the swing vote- Many of the recent decisions would have gone in the liberals favor without him. Am I right about that? So I would say the next round of USSC decisions are going to go in the liberals favor once again as they did when Scalia’s seat was vacant. Even if Trump appoints someone new before the elections then that person has to sit out currently ongoing cases according to past history. The only way to negate the temporarily negative effect this will have on USSC decisions is if someone like Ginsberg retires in the next few months.
