Four days after the owner of the Red Hen restaurant stirred national debate by asking White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders to leave her establishment, all the fire and ire of social media was made flesh at the corners of Washington and Randolph streets.
The quaint red restaurant, its dirty green awnings made famous by a disapproving tweet Monday from President Trump, was scheduled to open for dinner service at 5 p.m. Protesters began showing up around 3.
At first, it was just two guys holding Trump banners, a Confederate flag and a Corey Stewart for U.S. Senate sign. Standing in a steady rain, mobbed by three or four TV crews who had been stationed across from the darkened restaurant since morning, the pair said they were there to call for civility.
Just to let these people know that we dont appreciate their communism and their kicking out our public servant, said Chris Wayne, 35, of Monterey

But her feelings are valid. Facts be damned.
One report stated that this restaurant has only about 30 seats. Even if there is a 3 x turnover, that is only 90 meals an evening.
I would think that the costs of doing business in that prt of the country makes this a very narrow-margin profit.
Losing ANY evenings of service could bankrupt it. Good.
Do you think it’s big enough?
Not open, confirmed...
“several groups demonstrated against it around 5 p.m. Tuesday, its first scheduled opening since it became a national cause. But the restaurant did not open Tuesday evening.”
When said that this would destroy the business, the employee responded: My boss, the owner, kicked her out, not me. Best publicity we could hope to have thank you very much. “”
Apparently another snowflake that doesn’t understand the difference between ‘good publicity’ & the death knell of your job circling the drain.
Another useful idiot.
I looked at GoFundMe-

I love how the supporters are outed with the amount of their donations.
I wonder how much the wackos are being paid to protest the gays and try to make us look bad.
Perhaps a couple weeks with no pay will adjust his attitude?
How many minimum wage workers do you know with that much of a buffer in their bank account?
The awnings and paint are hideous. They also need to do some weeding.
Stephanie Wilkinson choked on her own chicken bone.
My favorite quote: “This feels like a moment in our democracy when people have to make uncomfortable actions and decisions to uphold their morals, Wilkinson said.
You can bet this woman was in favor of forcing Christian bakers, photographers, and caterers to affirm Gayity. I mean, those CHRISIANS are big meanies and don’t deserve their rights, aftr all.
It’s like Orwell said...”All people are created equal. It’s just that some are more equal than others.”

Looks like their chickens are coming home to roost.
In my experience, if they have a response, what they state is not a right. They will say something about Obamacare, free housing, welfare, clean water or global warming. None of these are rights. They do not know what constitutes a right.
A fundamental right, when exercised can not obligate someone else to do or not do something. Healthcare is not a right. Housing is not a right. Even free food is not a right.
I see they altered the address to 666. I just checked thinking that was not correct. It isn’t of course.
Regardless, the liberals are not going to like any anti-gay preaching. That will set their hair on fire (cough).
Looking at their photos I thought they may be Leftists pretending to be crazy and pretending to be part of some group on the right. Trying to reinforce false stereotypes is something they do all the time.
