In my experience, if they have a response, what they state is not a right. They will say something about Obamacare, free housing, welfare, clean water or global warming. None of these are rights. They do not know what constitutes a right.
A fundamental right, when exercised can not obligate someone else to do or not do something. Healthcare is not a right. Housing is not a right. Even free food is not a right.
Had a nice conversation with the checker at Whole Paycheck about the very thing. She thought food should be free. I totally agreed, the farmer deserves nothing for all the work and risk he gos through to grow the food, the field workers deserve no pay for harvesting it, the trucker deserves nothing for his time, the diesel and the truck for getting the raw produce to the factory, the factory worker should be more than happy to do the work to transform the raw produce into shelf ready food, her coworkers deserve nothing for removing it from the truck and stocking the shelves, and you should probably chip in your pay for the 5 minutes it took to ring my order so I can eat free. How 'bout it, young lady, give me just 50¢ towards "free food" right now...
