Red Hen owner Stephanie Wilkinson kicked Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her family out of her restaurant because she works for President Donald J. Trump. We've seen the news on this, the posts on Yelp, Facebook, etc. Well, there is more. Stehpanie Wilkinson is Executive Director of Main Street Lexington, which strives to promote business in downtown Lexington, Virginia. This is Rockbridge count, which voted 62.4% for Trump! I think we need to bring Wilkinson's bigotry to the attention of the bigger community and see if they back her or Trump.

Main Street Lexington needs emails and phone calls to hear our displeasure:

I’ve been reading the Yelp reviews. Lots of people are pissed off.

I think the point is that, I prefer to do business with people I respect. It is OK for the Red Hen to deny service to Sarah Sanders. It is also OK for me to avoid patronizing them because of that decision. I do not respect how they run their business.

In the same vein, I believe people should be allowed to burn the American flag. I want to know who my enemies are.

Yes, this touches a nerve. She was visiting with her family for a private dinner. I took a break from work to write this post earlier today and actually wrote polite email to each company affiliated with the Lexington business group. Even got one reply, equally polite.

Wilkinson stepped in it. It is one thing for the media to joust with her in the press room, but to attack her, to kick her and her family out of a restaurant is just so over-the-top wrong. Happy to step up and like others on FR and elsewhere, say No, Enough!

Wow, a nerve was touched by booting Sanders and her family. Right now on Facebook, 75,493 comments. On Yelp, 12,544 reviews, which reflects what news reports said was Yelp removing them earlier today. Yelp even posts “This business is being monitored by Yelp’s Support team for content related to media reports.”
